Story
Meet Pipsqueak! This gentle giant is a sweet, clumsy, and playful boy. He is a little reserved when first meeting people but he makes friends once you bring out the toys. Pipsqueak has played with dogs before and may do well living with a few canine friends but he has no experience with cats. He's a big boy at 118 lbs which makes him the perfect size to be your personal heater this coming winter. Pipsqueak is looking for a foster home for the moment as he does still need to be neutered and have his cherry eye fixed, but after surgery his fosters would be able to adopt if interested. **if you are interested in Pipsqueak, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email Claire at cshamgochian@parl.org**

Story
Loving, curious, and goofy South African Mastiff (also know as Boerboel). Born 2/17/2022 (2 1/2 years old). She has been raised with another dog, a cat, and two kids. Was crate trained but has not been in a crate in over a year. She sleeps on a dog bed or a space somewhere on the floor where she finds comfortable. She is not spayed. She goes on walks without a leash and does not run away for the most part (occasionally will disobey and walk up to other dogs to sniff). Sensitive to food changes. About 110 lbs. Mario

Story
Well, he’s a very sweet and loving dog. My friend got arrested and left him with his mom but she didn’t want to take care of him so rather than putting him in a shelter she threw him onto me. Of course I don’t mind taking care of him he isn’t a bother at all but unfortunately where I live it doesn’t allow big dogs. He’s super over protective so once he grows a liking to you strangers will have a hard time coming near you🥺. He’s good with kids but he’s really big and when he gets excited he forgets his size and may knock someone over he is 130-140 lbs. Lastly he’s good with small dogs and cats although they aren’t fawned of him lol and big female dogs but he’s not good around bigger male dogs at all. He’s kind of spoiled since he’s always be an only child so he’s not used to being around a bunch of people or other big males without getting super protective. He OBSESSED WITH BALLS/STICKS so make sure you can play catch 😇. He’s a sweetheart, super goofy and loving 🥺❤️.

Story
Adopt Me: 6-Month-Old Boerboel Mastiff Puppy! Meet Sam, a sweet 6-month-old Boerboel Mastiff puppy looking for a fresh start and a loving forever home! This adorable pup was confiscated from her breeder through no fault of her own and is now ready to find a family that will give her the love and care she deserves. Boerboels, originally from South Africa, are known for their loyalty, strength, and devotion to their families. Bred to guard farms and livestock, they are natural protectors but also incredibly affectionate and loyal to their human pack. Despite their large size, Boerboels are surprisingly agile and gentle, making them great family companions when properly trained and socialized. At just 6 months old, Sam has plenty of playful energy and curiosity, with a friendly disposition toward people and other dogs. She’s making good progress on basic obedience and has the potential to thrive with continued training. Her strong protective instincts will also develop as she grows, so she’ll need a family that is experienced with large breeds and is committed to consistent training. Key Info About Sam:     •    Age: 6 months    •    Breed: Boerboel Mastiff    •    Background: Confiscated from breeder, ready for a fresh start    •    Temperament: Playful, loving, and protective    •    Training: Learning basic commands, great potential with consistent training    •    Best suited for: Active homes with space, experienced with large dogs Boerboels are known to form deep bonds with their families, and Sam is no exception! She’s eager to find a home where she can grow, learn, and love. If you’re looking for a loyal and protective companion, Sam is waiting for you. Make Sam a part of your family today! is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (puppies under the age of 6 months may not be sterilized prior to adoption, if this is the case your adoption coordinator will discuss the process with you).
