Story
Well, he’s a very sweet and loving dog. My friend got arrested and left him with his mom but she didn’t want to take care of him so rather than putting him in a shelter she threw him onto me. Of course I don’t mind taking care of him he isn’t a bother at all but unfortunately where I live it doesn’t allow big dogs. He’s super over protective so once he grows a liking to you strangers will have a hard time coming near you🥺. He’s good with kids but he’s really big and when he gets excited he forgets his size and may knock someone over he is 130-140 lbs. Lastly he’s good with small dogs and cats although they aren’t fawned of him lol and big female dogs but he’s not good around bigger male dogs at all. He’s kind of spoiled since he’s always be an only child so he’s not used to being around a bunch of people or other big males without getting super protective. He OBSESSED WITH BALLS/STICKS so make sure you can play catch 😇. He’s a sweetheart, super goofy and loving 🥺❤️.

Story
Loving, curious, and goofy South African Mastiff (also know as Boerboel). Born 2/17/2022 (2 1/2 years old). She has been raised with another dog, a cat, and two kids. Was crate trained but has not been in a crate in over a year. She sleeps on a dog bed or a space somewhere on the floor where she finds comfortable. She is not spayed. She goes on walks without a leash and does not run away for the most part (occasionally will disobey and walk up to other dogs to sniff). Sensitive to food changes. About 110 lbs. Mario

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog-savvy catsGood with kids: Kids 16+Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesJoey is a distinguished gentleman who's ready to be a part of your family! He is a medium-energy pup who can run and play with a doggie friend, yet can be mellow and chill. Above all, Joey loves his humans and enjoys an adventurous walk or a long cuddle on the couch. After a proper introduction, he loves to play with other dogs of any size. He would likely do well with or without another canine sibling. Joey's interacted fine with dog-savvy cats in his foster home, so he'd be fine with or without a cat in the home. Because Joey needs his personal space respected and would rather not have small humans approach too quickly, he would do best in a home with older teens (16+) in the home. Not only does he come with strikingly good looks, but he is also filled to the brim with personality and intelligence. Joey is fully crate-trained and house-trained. He is crated occasionally throughout the day and overnight without any issues. Joey walks well on leash and enjoys his daily walks.Don't let Joey's age fool you, he would love a family who's excited to teach an old dog new tricks- is he the one for you? Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted.
