Meet Nina!I mean, can you get enough of that face?! Nina is a 2 year old mastiff mix clocking in her weight at 67 pounds! She`s a sweet but reserve lady who prefers to hang at home with her people rather than participating in big, outdoor adventures. She will snuggle in with you to watch your favorite movies or hang out and enjoy a girls night in. Nina is low maintenance and requires a quiet home without young children, a warm, comfy bed, lots of toys and things to play with and an adopter that will continue to socialize her with things she didn`t experience as a baby. She may need a refresher with house training but she`s a fast learner. Oh, I almost forgot - Nina enjoys playing with other dogs! Does she sound like the girl for you? If so, come by and meet her at our Dedham location! She`ll be excited to meet you!Nina is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on Nina or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.

Well, he’s a very sweet and loving dog. My friend got arrested and left him with his mom but she didn’t want to take care of him so rather than putting him in a shelter she threw him onto me. Of course I don’t mind taking care of him he isn’t a bother at all but unfortunately where I live it doesn’t allow big dogs. He’s super over protective so once he grows a liking to you strangers will have a hard time coming near you🥺. He’s good with kids but he’s really big and when he gets excited he forgets his size and may knock someone over he is 130-140 lbs. Lastly he’s good with small dogs and cats although they aren’t fawned of him lol and big female dogs but he’s not good around bigger male dogs at all. He’s kind of spoiled since he’s always be an only child so he’s not used to being around a bunch of people or other big males without getting super protective. He OBSESSED WITH BALLS/STICKS so make sure you can play catch 😇. He’s a sweetheart, super goofy and loving 🥺❤️.

Meet Bear, THIS SWEET BIG BOY IS ONLY A BABY 8 MONTHS OLD AND NEEDS HELP ! THE SHELTER US GOING TO KILL HIM!!! Poor Bear born in the streets and lived in the streets with a Good Samaritan who would make sure Bear and siblings atleast had some food, now animal control has come and brought them to a very high kill shelter where he has little chance of making it out alive. This sweetie is 60lbs and only About 8 months old. Now the shelter has sent out messages that they plan to kill this baby if he doesn’t find his people to save his life. Loving, curious, and goofy South African Mastiff (also know as Boerboel). Born 2/17/2022 (2 1/2 years old). She has been raised with another dog, a cat, and two kids. Was crate trained but has not been in a crate in over a year. She sleeps on a dog bed or a space somewhere on the floor where she finds comfortable. She is not spayed. She goes on walks without a leash and does not run away for the most part (occasionally will disobey and walk up to other dogs to sniff). Sensitive to food changes. About 110 lbs.
