Story
Cherysh (A552989) Cherysh was a bit timid coming out of his kennel but was easy to leash up and walk. He has the best ears! He likes treats and takes them very gently. Cherysh know `sit` and would love to learn more tricks! He offered a wagging tail when he was getting some pets. He enjoys attention and love, getting as close as he can to you. He has a calm demeanor and is a chill guy. If you`re looking for a lovable companion, check out Cherysh! Meet Cherysh, a lovable pup with the best ears and an even better personality! He leashes up easily and showed off his leash-walking skills like a pro. This calm, chill guy enjoys treats (he takes them so gently!) and already knows `sit.`Cherysh loves affection and after he warms up he will lean in close for pets as he soaks up the love. He`s also got a playful side, especially when squeaky balls are involved—he dribbles them like a true soccer pro! Attentive, sweet, and eager to please, Cherysh is ready to be your loyal sidekick.Cherysh is lukcy enough to be in a foster home, please email fosterpgcpets@co.pg.md.us today and make this holiday season unforgettable with your new best friend!Prince George`s County Animal Shelter3750 Brown Station RdUpper Marlboro, MarylandTues-Fri, 10am-6pmSaturday, 10am-4pmArrive one hour before closingWe invite you to watch a short video of Cherysh in action here: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDN68NVRjlu/?igsh=NDJkdTdqbWRnenE2

TUBBS NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Name:  Tubbs          Best Guess for Breed:  Mastiff and retriever mix   Best Guess for Age:  5 months as of December 2024        SEX:    Female   Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):    43 lbs as of 12/22/24   Gets Along With:        Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.   Currently Living at:   Lucky Dog's South Carolina rescue campus; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to come up!   Special Adoption Considerations:       Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy.  Tubbs is Looking For:   Woof! My sisters Poppy, Piggy, Oakley and my brother Cooper and I enjoyed our puppy pile but now we're eager to split up and get our own homes! I'm not complicated - I'd love to have a family to take walks with, go on hikes with, take car rides with, go to the dog park and a training class!! I would love to show my humans how much I love them. My needs are really rather basic: food, a bed (I can certainly share yours in a pinch hahaha I'm not really kidding I can), some toys (I promise not to use your shoes instead plus you're going to be smart and put them away ; ) ), some walks (and those are good for you too) and trips to the dog park or doggie day care (also I'm sure good for you!). And in exchange, I'll be the best girl for you and love you for the rest of my life!!    What do you say? Is there space for me in your home and your heart?  What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once she has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with her foster.  Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. Story
Name: Shaq Sex: Male Estimated Age: About a year old Best Guess for Breed: Mixed Breed Mastiff Dog Weight: About 60 lbs Lives With: Dogs and adults (including kids). Housebroken? Shaq is housebroken. He is currently working on crate training (making great progress!) and learning his basic commands. Story: Shaq was rescued from a shelter locally in Washington, DC. Shaq is a happy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. He knows just how to get comfortable up on the couch with his humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Shaq is just looking for someone to be his new best furend and we know that he will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. As a puppy, Shaq will need an adopter who is committed to setting him up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising him both mentally and physically. He will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive! What my foster says: Shaq is really just the best, and we absolutely adore him. He is 100% the most cuddly dog we have fostered and is an absolute ham. He’s great with other dogs and all humans. He’s fully potty trained and only goes to the bathroom outside. He’s good on the leash, but can be a little mouthy when he plays (like a typical puppy) - we are working with him to correct this behavior and he’s responding really well to training. He has lived with kids and other dogs and does great. He’s a great, happy boy and will make a fabulous family dog or companion! The fee to adopt Shaq is $450. That covers the cost of all his vaccines, the collar he’s wearing, his transport to DC and his care in his foster home. He’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and neutered. Shaq has been seen by a shelter vet and we are not aware of any health issues. If you think that Shaq might be your perfect match, apply today!November 3, 2024, 3:56 pm
