He is a bit shy when doing new things and meeting new people, but warms up very quickly especially to kids. He has been introduced to a variety of dogs and cats and has handled himself perfectly. He is still gaining strength and weight, but coming along very nicely. Benson would be a great fit with someone who has patience when taking him into new situations. Benson is continuuing to settle into his foster home, so check back regularly. We will share updates as we get to know him. I really don't think I am as big as they say I am because I would prefer to just be a couch Potatoe and lay next to my people and chew on a bone. I am a people kind of guy and love everyone I meet. I can probably live with another dog, but he would have to be calmer like me. but little dogs and very young children I would be afraid of because I am clumsy and wouldn't want to hurt them. I definitely don't think I could handle cats. But I know a lot of commands they say I am really smart and a fast learner. I am potty trained but do not like cages. Takota is the whole package! Do you like comedy? Then this big kid Takota is your guy. One day on September Takota showed up at an Airbnb in Aruba in the Carribean and we took him on as he could not stay there. He is good with dogs, extremely gentle with the smaller puppies. Takes direction well from the older dogs and loves people. This is a dog that checks all the right characteristics. He is crate trained and housebroken and loves to entertain you. He will grab something like a shoe and hopes you chase him for it. Lots of shenigans going on in his head. He is all around a very well balanced dog and fun to be with. Good manners, good humor and still trying to coordinate his long legs. Although he is big, due to his great personality, he is a candidate for a household with younger kids. This dog will be easy to integrate into a new home with another dog. He still has the mindset of a puppy although he looks quite grown at this point. His adoption fee is $500 to cover his transport cost and vet checks and vaccines. Takota is healthy, fixed, up to date on his core vaccines nd tested heartworm negative.
