Story
Denali came into our care after her previous owner sadly passed away. Denali was quite shy with us for the first few days, after she got a bit comfortable, she started to show us her amazing personality! Denali has lots of energy, she loves to play and bounce around with people or other dogs! She is selective on the dogs she likes, she gets along the best with male dogs. She loves to go for walks and adventures with our volunteer's, but she will also never say no to a snuggle or a nap! Denali will happily chase a ball, we are working on the brining it back part! She loves attention and meeting new people. She settles very well in her kennel, she has an extra comfy bed that she loves to relax on. Other Dogs: Well matched, males preferred Cats: Unknown Kids: Yes but older 15+ Apartment: Maybe Walks: Loves them! New People: Yes with caution, she may need to warm up! -------------------------------------------------------------------- At City of Vancouver Animal Services, we have a foster-to-adopt program whereby prospective new owners foster the adoptable animal for 21 days before committing to adoption. Gingerbread is a strong, confident dog who is super friendly with people and very food motivated! The ideal home for this sweet boy would be in a rural area with an experienced adopter who can work with him on his training. He is very excitable, but does not like other dogs and will need a strong adopter who can handle such a strong, big boy! Do you have a house with a yard, and some time to spend welcoming a new friend into your life? Gingerbread is so loving and affectionate and will be the perfect companion to someone who can provide him with a life of stable adventure! Story
Meet Snickerdoodle! This handsome dog came down from the north with his friend, Gingerbread. He is an excitable, young dog who is ready to get out there and learn all about the world. Snickers hasn't had a stable home environment throughout his life, so he is really looking forward to having someone who will protect him and make sure he is always safe and warm. Snickerdoodle already has a head start on his training and knows some basic commands like sit and stay. The ideal adopter would be someone who has the time and experience to continue working with him on his training and leash manners. He would be best suited in an adult only home, in a more rural area outside of the city. He is a strong and confident dog who is looking for a big home with a yard where he can roam. Snickers is a BIG boy, who will need a strong guardian that is able to handle him while he still learns the ways of the world. He can be reactive to other dogs and will need someone who is comfortable with handling and getting him socialized properly with other furry friends. He is a strong, tough boy and shows a high prey drive, so definitely shouldn't go to a home with any cats or other small animals. Are you looking for a big buddy, who will cuddle in bed with you like a bear and have the stamina for a mountaintop adventure the next day? Come by the West Van BCSPCA to meet Snickerdoodle Tues-Sun from 12pm-3pm or fill out an application online right away! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Brindle Weight: 46.1 Age: 1yrs 2mths 4wks
