Story
SUCH A CUTE STUBBY TAIL  DOB 11/15/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m General Tso, an outgoing, affectionate, and cuddly red tabby Manx mix fella with a stubby tail who was named after my silly Foster Daddy’s favorite Chinese dish. I’m an easygoing dude who enjoys lounging in bed with Foster Meowmy while I gently play with her toes under the covers. I usually fall asleep while we binge on YouTube cat videos with calm music. I can play hard in spurts with wand toys, the crinkle tunnel, squeaky mice, pompoms, and jingle balls. And of course I enjoy tumbling and pouncing, climbing and wrestling with my sister Hannah, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. In my quieter moments, I bask in a patch of sunshine on the windowshill while I watch the outdoor birds at the feeder. My pregnant feral momma Mango wandered up to my foster pawrents’ home, and Foster Meowmy compassionately started feeding her. When my litter was about five weeks old, momma Mango brought us to dine at “her” feeding station. Foster Meowmy waited until we were fully weaned at nine weeks old before she trapped my whole family and brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home. Momma Mango was scared to stay inside, so she was released after her spay surgery. However, she still enjoys hanging out on the brick patio under the gazebo after her meals. It took a lot of love, time, and patience for Foster Meowmy to tame us kittens, but now we’re sweet, loving companions who are grateful that we have a chance at a better life then momma Mango.   Now I’m ready to share my peaceful cuddles and friendly affection with my future family. Could that be with you? Foster Meowmy thinks I'd do best in a quiet home without dogs or small children. If you’re looking to adopt a pair of kittens, Hannah and I think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Arrange to meet me today! I can’t wait to play with your toes under the covers before we drift off to sleep together. HOPE ID 24-0412-C026 If you are interested in General Tso and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you. Story
HAPPINESS IS HANGING OUT WITH HIS HOOMAN DOB 4/1/24 Hey there, everyone! I’m Colin, a friendly, affectionate, highly energetic, and playful black Manx mix fella with a stubby tail and white tuxedo markings. Bliss for me is spending time with my Foster Meowmy, particularly by cuddling in my favorite spot, her lap, as she brushes me. I also enjoy following her around like her little shadow to monitor what she’s doing. I’ve got that famous feline curiosity as well as that typical male bravado, so I love to investigate new places. My favorite trick is making “the great escape” by entering the smallest opening imaginable and then hiding there until someone finds me. I’m quite the soccer striker when I scramble around the room batting crinkle balls and catnip mice. Foster Meowmy’s yard man discovered my siblings and me scampering around the back yard, which was news to Foster Meowmy. Sure enough, when she went outside to investigate, there was my momma Violet in a patch of dirt, calmly nursing us kittens. First Foster Meowmy made an outdoor shelter for us, but then she brought us all indoors when some torrential Houston thunderstorms blew through. We all adapted well to the amenities of indoor life, which included love, attention, and plenty of handling by all ages of hoomans. I was adopted as a kitten, but unfortunately my adopter had financial reverses and was forced to return me to HOPE. I'm still sad because she adored me, and vice versa. However, I'm choosing to focus on how my sweet, snuggly companionship can bring joy to my new forever family. If you’re looking for a handsome, charming, distinguished gent to energize your home and entertain you with my playful antics, I’m the boy for you! Arrange to meet me today! HOPE ID 24-0525-C052 If you are interested in Colin and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Story
QUEEN OF HER OWN JUNGLE DOB 1/11/24 With a corkscrew bobtail and a coat painted in rich torbie tones of earth and fire, Clementine is as striking as she is independent. This feline empress doesn’t follow the crowd -- she curates it. Selective with her affections and fiercely loyal once you’ve earned them, Clementine prefers her own kingdom where she can explore, pounce, and rule in peace. She’s not interested in feline friendships -- no offense, she just knows what (and who) she likes. If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion who values quality over quantity in her inner circle, Clementine might just be your perfect match. Apply within… if you dare impress royalty. Please read the entire bio to learn about Kiki. Kiki is the sweetest, most fun kitten! She purrs non-stop. Definitely a lap kitty when she is tired or wants cuddles. She is also very enthusiastic about play time which include jumping, running, climbing and chasing toys. She is a very entertaining kitty. Full of fun and love. She will play with the other kitties as long as they are willing. Her big issue and why she has not yet been adopted: She has problems using the litter box. She will urinate in cardboard boxes but will poop on the tile floor. She will go to the same area most times, but not always. Her fosters must find her little "gifts". A home with tile or vinyl floors is best. She needs a patient understanding, experienced cat owner. Kiki is to be adopted as an indoor only cat despite these issues. We know this is a tall order. If you meet the criteria and feel you have the love, tolerance and patience to deal with these issues, please complete an application.

Story
Meet Mavis the Bobtail (Mom of Fanta) You have to see Mavis in person to truly see her beauty. This precious Momma is not even a year old yet and had 3 babies. 2 have now been adopted. She was being given away on Craigslist and a kind lady went and got them to keep them from ending up in the wrong hands. She reached out to the Rescue for help with placing the little family. She has a wonderful disposition and would make a great family member to just about any home. She has one baby left, Fanta, perhaps you would like to give her and her baby a home together.
