Story
Tamanga is certainly one of a kind with her natural half tail that stands straight up. She is sassy and secure with herself yet has a very sweet side. Vocal and physically affectionate when seeking attention this girl will bulldozer any other cats in her way. She knows what she wants .. and when she wants it ...she has no problem being dominate. Tamanga enjoys being rambunctious and cutting up with her foster siblings, anything with a string, manuevering herself to the highest point of the cat tree while meowing for attention and finding new ways to manipulate her foster mom for wet food treats. Tamanga has a true manx personality also described as social and gregarious cat, and very attached to humans, but also shy of strangers. The breed is said to be highly intelligent, playful, and in its behaviour reminiscent of dogs. ##1666711##

Story
Handsome tabby Manx boy. Meet Shuga, a charming tabby Manx boy with an intriguing backstory. Shuga's journey began outdoors, but over time, he's been blossoming into a more affectionate companion. Born around 04/10/2022, this stumpy Manx mix is seeking a loving forever home. Shuga's gentle nature makes him best suited for a tranquil household where he can gradually build trust and feel at ease. He's a quick learner and has a soft spot for treats, so with a patient family willing to invest time in him, he'll surely thrive. Shuga is also a sociable feline, getting along famously with other cats. In his spare time, Shuga has discovered a playful side, often engaging in delightful games, like chasing feet under the covers. At night, you can expect him to be your cozy bed companion. Rest assured, Shuga's health is well taken care of. He's up to date on vaccinations, has tested negative for FIV, heartworms, and FeLV, is microchipped, and has been meticulously treated for worms and fleas. Additionally, he's been neutered to ensure a healthy and happy life ahead. Are you ready to welcome Shuga into your home and be the loving family he's been waiting for? Don't miss out on this opportunity to provide a warm and secure place for Shuga to thrive.   His adoption fee is $75  More photos and video at  https://photos.app.goo.gl/L7jGGbmqwkA5Ra6Z8   November 1, 2024, 3:30 pm

Story
Handsome black Manx/Cymric boy.Seeley is a long haired rumpy black Manx/Cymric mix mix. Seeley's owner wound up in a nursing home, and he and his house mate Ichabod ended up in a shelter.  In the confusion of being at the shelter, his paperwork seems to say he was born in May of 2019, or he was born around February of 2017.  When we had him checked by a vet, he said that his teeth looked great, but he couldn't quote an age.  So we will go with a 2017 birthdate. Seeley is sweet and loves to be brushed.  He also loves catnip.  He has a bit of obsession with human toes and will nibble them.  Because he is long haired, he needs a home that will get him a sanitary clip when needed to keep his backside clean.  It is really easy to clip him at home if you have 2 people. He was born with a birth defect that was never addressed.   He has had surgery on it twice now to try to correct it, and he’s greatly improved.  He does need miralax twice a day to keep his stool soft.  He's perfect with the litterbox. He came from a multi cat home.  And he has done well with some of our other fosters, but not well with others.  So we'll call him cat selective. He is up to date on vaccinations, combo tested negative for FIV and FeLV, is microchipped, neutered, and has been wormed and treated for fleas. His adoption fee is $100     More photos and video at  https://photos.app.goo.gl/rgQqMp3SotTbS8Ur7   November 1, 2024, 3:30 pm

Story
Big squishy torbie girl.Iris is a big squishy bobtail girl born about April 13, 2019.  She looks like she could be a mix of both Manx and American Bobtail although she has a very exotic looking face.  She has about half a normal length tail.   She was adopted from us as a kitten, and returned 4 years later due to her owner having a health crisis.  She lived with both cats and a dog, but she is either timid around other cats or tends to bully them.  She'd do best as an only cat or with a dog or two.   She is spayed, tested negative for FeLV and FIV before being adopted and has never been outside.  She is microchipped as well.  She has been treated for fleas and her vaccinations updated.  Her adoption fee is $75 More photos and video at  https://photos.app.goo.gl/ajiDTBG7CVQGwwgz9   November 1, 2024, 3:30 pm

Story
Perdita's name means "lost", a baby found abandoned in the wilderness in Shakespeare's "A Winter's Tale". A worker heard two week old Perdita crying loudly underneath a building at a construction site, and brought her to us. Perdita has a healthy set of lungs, and saved herself, which we think is incredibly brave. She is a manx or bobtail, with the cutest little stump of a tail. At two weeks, she needed to be bottle-fed, and she always took one long, powerful suck from the bottle, and then it was time to roll over and play. Perdita is very curious (dare I say, nosy), and from a very young age, she pops her head up and looks around at everything in wonder. She's an excellent climber, loves to tussle with her tiny murder mittens, and also enjoys giving kisses. -Social -Playful -Sweet -Adorable -Litter box trained -Good with cats with an introduction She is the complete package! She is bonded with her adopted sissie, Portia, and will only be adopted in a pair with her. Given her personality, we believe she would do well with other cats, children, and cat-friendly dogs if allowed time for an introduction. Her adoption fee includes her spay surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, and group testing for FIV and FeLV. If you are interested in adopting, please go to our adoption page for more information on our adoption process and to complete our adoption application. https://www.julietshouse.org/online-adoption-applications Please note: This kitten will only be adopted in a pair with Portia. This policy ensures that the kittens we rescue, nurture, and love are adopted into homes that offer the best possible environment for their social development. *All in our program are assumed to be mixed breed as none have had genetic testing. They are designated based on characteristics observed and noted.
