Manx kittens & cats in West Haven, Connecticut

This is one of two of my mother's cats, Precious is roughly 11 years old and with a good bill of health aside from slight hairball issues since she's long haired. My mother unfortunately has dementia, and as her dementia has worsened we have had situations where she puts her in her hamper and tapes it up because she thinks she's leaving to go somewhere. Currently, there haven't been any effective ways to stop my mother during her dementia episodes from overfeeding, misplacing them, or trapping them in places. She actively keeps them from us, especially during her episodes, and it has made it difficult to assist with the care she needs. She needs a loving home for the remainder of her elder life with an owner that's able bodied and able to take care of her. Precious is especially skittish, and would need a very calm and gentle owner that would be able to make her feel safe again.
