Story
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.  * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Maple is 11 months old and in search of her forever home. She is a beautiful Manx girl and was the smallest and shyest of her litter. But we are happy to report she has turned the corner and has blossomed into a more trusting girl. She was recently introduced to one of our newer rescues named Billie and well let's just say he has brought out the best in her. If you are looking for a dynamic duo to adopt together, please read his profile too. We think she will still need a little time to warm up to her humans in a new environment, but we know gaining her trust will be worth it, as she has a quiet charm about her, and the right home will continue to help her blossom. And if you adopt Billie too, that will help her settle in even quicker because he is her best bud. Since becoming more confident the past couple of months she has found her purr machine, and it has been going nonstop now. She is such a cutie pie, and we know her forever home will see her post and know they need to give this sweet girl a chance. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.November 5, 2024, 9:13 pm

Story
My family adopted a Manx kitten from H.A.L.O. Rescue back in 2020. At the time, the foster family said that Minnow would occasionally miss the litter box with poop and that wasn't a big deal to us. Unfortunately, as Minnow has grown, he started leaking urine here and there. After taking him to multiple vets, we were told that he has Manx Syndrome and is missing most of his sacrum. We've tried different medications, diapers and expressing him, but with both my husband and I working full time and a teenager in school, we haven't been able to devote the time or energy that Minnow needs. He is absolutely the most loving and wonderful cat, if it wasn't for this issue. Do you have the time and love to give Minnow a good home?

Story
Meet Sha'von, our inquisitive, mischievous, and delightfully active bobtail tabby girl! Always on the go, Sha'von brings energy and curiosity to every corner of your home. She loves a good petting but is independent enough not to need constant attention, making her a versatile companion for any household. Sha'von was recently diagnosed with Manx syndrome, a condition that can affect cats with short or missing tails. This syndrome often impacts the spine and nerves, sometimes leading to issues with mobility, digestion, and bladder or bowel control. While Sha'von’s condition is being carefully managed, potential adopters should be aware that she may need extra care and attention to ensure her continued well-being. Regular vet check-ups, a diet that promotes digestive health, and a stable, stress-free environment will help her thrive. Despite her diagnosis, Sha'von continues to live life to the fullest with her spirited personality. Her mornings start with energetic explorations, chasing jingle balls, cat teasers, or even wagging dog tails. By mid-morning, she's often scaling to the highest point she can find, satisfying her natural curiosity and love for heights. In the afternoon, she balances her adventurous side with some cozy nap time, happy to curl up with anyone willing to share a cuddle. Evenings are her favorite for interactive play sessions and more explorations, ensuring she's had her fill of fun before bedtime. Sha'von's natural bobtail adds a unique flair to her small and scrappy appearance. Despite her size and diagnosis, she’s full of spunk, determination, and an unbreakable spirit. When it’s time for meals, she comes running the moment she hears the food can being opened, ready to enjoy her feast. If you’re looking for a lively, independent, and affectionate kitty who brings both excitement and cuddles to your life, Sha'von is the perfect match. Her resilience and joy are truly inspiring, and she’s ready to capture your heart with her unique charm. With a little extra care, you’ll be rewarded with a companion who is both loving and fiercely resilient.   nubby tail For more photos and videos please see our website www.hdbnqrescue.org/queens ##2038475##

Story
There's something so special about Manx cats and our girl Mandy is no exception. Mandy is a petite little thing and I suspect she'll stay somewhat small. She loves people and craves attention. She's a tough as nails fighter when playing with her foster family and that includes the bigger ones. She's got the heart of a lion and is soooooooo brave! She is going to be a tough one to let go so if you're looking for a new addition to the family for the New Year this is the kitten for you! She, along with all our other kittens will be with us at our Holiday adoption event at the Walnut Creek Petsmart 2891 Ygnacio Valley Road in the Whole Foods shopping center this Sunday, December 22nd from 11 to 3! . All of dirty Paws cats and kittens have been spay/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, FIV/FELV tested and microchipped. Please email us at: dirtypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com to get pre approved to adopt!
