Story
A kind soul feeds and fixes cats an kittens at a local outlet mall. There was one female that has been too smart to trap. She kept an eye on her new litter of Manx kittens (Montana, Malibu and Mercedes) and when big enough, she trapped them. She held on the them until they were big enough for vetting at 3 months. Unfortunately she had no time to work with these beautiful but wild little things. Though it is VERY difficult to tame kittens over 8 weeks, much less 16, one of our fosters stepped up to give it a try. After a few weeks she definitely believes they have potential.  All three will purr when you get them in your lap. Mercedes (Maine Coon mix) is the most ornery. Montana (black Manx) is almost there and Malibu (Ragdoll mix) is right behind him. They will all run when you enter the room for a good long while just out of habit after being out there in the wild for so long... it's just instinct.  They ALL love to play, love treats and will eventually be amazing pets.  We are going ahead and listing them so that the new pet parents can come visit for a while before taking them home. Though we adopt out all over the country, because of our plan to have new pet parents participate in their taming, we are going to keep adoptions local for these three. If you are interested in adopting one, two or all three, please go to straylovefoundation.org and fill out an adoption application. Each of our rescues will be COMPLETELY vetted (which includes a combo test, worming, spay/neutered, vaccines, and micro-chipping). We do all in our power to assure our rescues are as healthy as possible and live a long happy life. There is always a chance that an animal we have rescued will have a genetic health issue (since they are rescues there is no way that we can know their family history) or one of our tests falls in that low percentage of false-negative category or a they contract a rare disease that we have no way of knowing about or they contract under your care. We cannot guarantee 100% that your pet will live the 15 to 20 years we hope for but with all that we do for them, the chances are incredibly strong that they will. Transportation fees, when applicable, vary by distance/expense. Home checks may be conducted. We are asking for an adoption donation of $248 for Malibu. On most animals, a tax-deductible adoption donation of $168 is required upon approved adoption application. (This is a fraction of our vet expenses and you are always welcome to donate more.) HOWEVER, when we rescue a special breed, ridiculously adorable, or unusual color, we ask for a higher donation which helps towards our vet expenses. If you can't adopt, donate or sponsor, if you can't donate, volunteer! Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal using our email address: info@straylovefoundation.org. Or you can click on the donate button on our FB page (StrayLoveFoundation Magnolia Springs) or click on the donate button on our website home page at www.straylovefoundation.org. Story
Please consider sponsoring a cat. For a little as $10 a month you can help us help more animals in need. This is T. Originally named "Encore" because he came to Cyd's after Finale, who was supposed to be the last cat she took in. But after Finale came Encore so here we are. T is a beautiful, medium hair, pure white Manx. You'll notice T's pictures show him in a cage. His cage is open and he is free to come and go but he is occasionally picked on. T does fine with the other cats but would probably also like being the only king in the castle. He ADORES people, likes being picked up and enjoys ALL the pets. T really needs someone to come give him a home- where he will be comfortable, not scared and well loved. Cyd passed away 1/26/25 meaning T will receive less attention. T needs a hero. T's adoption fee is $150. Included in each adoption: age appropriate shots, microchip, and spay/neuter surgery. All kitties are litterbox trained. Prior to meeting or adopting any of our wonderful kitties, we ask that you please fill out our online Cat Adoption Application on our website aaFlorida.org/adopt.  There is a link on the top of the home page. Click on "Fill in", you don't have to register.  For more information about this kitty or any others, you can contact us at Adoptions@aaFlorida.org.  We are a foster organization and don't have set hours we are open - but we will gladly set up an appointment for you to meet any cat.  Of course, you're under no obligation to adopt if you come to meet any of our fabulous felines.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 29, 2025, 12:02 am
