MERRY, MERRY HOLIDAY FROM MINNIE! I am a 2-year-old Maltese mix (possibly mixed with Schnauzer or terrier) with quite the story to tell. I was found abandoned in an orchard - imagine that?! So of course, I'm still shy around people, and will take a little while to get to know you. I'm still not able to be petted very much as my experience was traumatic. Without question, I will need someone with patience and understanding of my shy nature, someone who understands I won't be the immediate lap dog, and I will need a quiet home. I am very sweet, love to play with other dogs and I'd be happy with a doggy playmate. Please email for an application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please go to our website for all specific information about this dog.  Our info doesn't transfer over to the adoption sites.  Flynn is an older guy who is looking for a soft landing.  He sleeps a lot but does enjoy an easy putter around too.  He didn't mind the older kitten who was very respectful of him and dogs that are respectful of his age.   He was left on a porch by, mostly likely an unhoused person, during a bad wind and rainstorm.  He was in pretty ruff shape.  We got him groomed and cleaned up, got rid of his flea infestation and he saw the vet.  He has a lower grade heart murmur and only half of his bottom jaw, no teeth.  So, we feed him Honest Kitchen to make it extra soupy so he can lap it up.  He will hit the potty pads most of the time when he can't be taken out (if you're gone when he's awake and needs to go).  He's just a sweet old guy, looking for someone to love him and take great care of him for the rest of his days. Story
Cute as can be Carter is approx 7yrs old and weighs just a little over 8lbs. With his little underbite, he appears to be a Shih Tzu Maltese mix, with maybe some poodle thrown in. He is a friendly boy that will be a great companion dog for a retired couple or a senior that just wants a calm companion. Carter does like to get out in the yard and explore so a fenced yard would be best. When he’s ready to come in, he’ll come to the door and wait patiently for you. He then likes to curl up in his blankets or next to his person to take a nap. He is a little independent so no worries about separation anxiety. He is fully crate trained so he can be left home alone without a potty break for up to 5 hrs. He’s wonderful with kids so visiting grandchildren would be fine. He also gets along with other dogs of all sizes and cats so other animals in the home would also be great, but they’re not required. Carter is very quiet, just giving a bark here dnd there when he wants out of his kennel. He’d be a great office dog companion. He recently had a full dental cleaning snd surgery so he’s ready for his forever home.
