Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 11/02/2024 Reason for being in rescue: Matthew was found as a stray in NC and landed at the shelter. Carolina Poodle Rescue pulled him from the shelter. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Matthew is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. On 11/13/24 Matthew had a serious dental and lost 10+ teeth.  Weight: 7.5 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: No Adoption Fee: $349 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Matthew is a dog that can fit into lots of homes, as long as you are home or plan to take him with you. He's good with dogs of all sizes, indifferent to cats, and thought gentle kids were okay too. Matthew enjoys other dogs but doesn't have to have one in his home. What he wants is you. If you live in an apartment or townhouse, be prepared to take Matthew with you when you leave - he wants to be where the action is and will tell you all about it.  What is my personality like? To meet Matthew is to love him. Whatever his past has been, there has been lots of love. Matthew loves people. He loves to be near you. He will follow you closely, cry when you are out of sight, and snuggle up as close as he can get. Matthew is not a dog that is going to spend time in a crate quietly. He is not a dog that will sleep anywhere besides in your bed. If you don't want a constant companion, Matthew is not your dog. Matthew is ideal for a home that wants a dog to go everywhere with them. Looking for an office mate - Matthew says sign me up. Running errands - Matthew says he's in. Going on vacation - he says pack him a suitcase.  How do I act when I first meet new people? Matthew is a true southern gentleman. He is polite, gentle and calm when meeting new people. He enjoys everyone he meets and is happy to make your company! Other tips and tidbits: Matthew was found as a stray so we have no details on his background. Based on his overall health and condition he is estimated at 10 years old. We celebrate his birthday 11/02/2014. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. November 15, 2024, 3:30 pm

Story
Molly came to us from another rescue in the area. They had rescued a lot of purebred dogs from out west who were used for breeding and asked if we`d take two. Molly was bred and had a terrible life before but now enjoys life to the fullest! She loves doing zoomies in her fosters yard and loves all the other dogs. Her tongue hangs out a bit due to all the extractions she had to have. She does spin sometimes, a lingering affect of living in a cage much of her life and feeling anxious. She is fostered in an all adult home, with dogs and cats. Molly is 8 and weighs 9.8 lb. She loves to be where you are! Looking for a close companion and willing to be patient as she adjusts, then Molly may be the girl for you. Spay, vaccines, microchip provided.

He loves people & is just trying to learn how to play. He has learned the dog door & does well with house training as long as he can get outside.Neuter, vaccines & micro chip included in adoption fee.
