Story
Charlie is a cute, sweet 8 month old Maltese mix. He loves to play and cuddle. He gets along great with other dogs and we don't believe he would have an issue with cats either. He would also do great with older children that know how to handle a small dog. Charlie is doing great with crate training and it shouldn't take much to finish his house training. He is neutered, current on shots, flea and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in making an appointment to adopt, please submit our application at Richardsonrescue.org. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2024, 12:52 pm

Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Alvin   Adoption fee:  $500.00   Do you like to play?  I like to play.  And play.  And snuggle.  And play!  I finally figured out that my name is Alvin.  At first, I thought it was “What's-in-your-mouth-Alvin”, then “What-are-you-doing-Alvin”. My favorite now is “Good-Boy-Alvin”. I weigh 9 lbs and I’m a 10month old “toddler” so I do get up to a bit of mischief now and then!  I do best when I have some good chew toys to keep me busy or someone to play fetch with.  I’m up-to-date on everything and ready for my forever home. I am such a happy boy.  Even though I have lots of energy, I also love to snuggle and will fall asleep if you rub my belly.  I even fell asleep when I went to the vet!  I like going for walks and do well on the leash.  My house manners are getting really good as long as I get to go outside enough. The other dogs  here are nice and I get along great with them, especially the ones that want to play. I don’t know what cats are so I’m not sure how I feel about them.  If you think you need a happy guy like me, I’m waiting in Little River, SC.   Adoption fee:  $500.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. We thank you for whatever you can help us with. Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $475.00   MEET NEWT   Newt is a very sweet and smart little Maltese boy who is up-to-date on everything . He is 4 years old and a 8.8 lb. bundle of love. He is usually very skittish when he first meets you and does not like to be approached until he checks you out for a few minutes. He will just back away until he's ready. A small treat usually helps to break the ice fast!    Newt loves to snuggle with his humans.  He is currently being spoiled in a foster home in Little River, SC where he made himself right at home, and instantly befriended their little Maltipoo girl.    We don’t know about cats, although he is very inquisitive when he hears the neighbor’s cat meowing next door. Newt is very playful and curious about everything.    Since Newt comes from a rather restricted environment, he will need a little help in the house-training department.  He has learned to walk on a leash but could benefit from some additional training. Newt loves to go for rides and does well in the car.  He loves his food (and treats) and is always first in line at feeding time.     Newt would do best in a forever home with a fenced yard as he is definitely an explorer inside and outside the home.   Adoption fee:  $475.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
Scruffy is a very sweet and loving dog. He needs someone patient because he can be timid at first but once he trusts you he is good to go. He has always been an inside dog but he loved having a back yard to go run around in before I had to downsize into a camper. He has gotten anxiety in the camper so I am trying to find him a great home. I have gotten him on Fluoxetine to help with his anxiety. He has no medical issues and is fully house trained. He lived with a 90 pound pit for 8 years and they got along great but some dogs he acts aggressive and barks but is just excited. Scruffy does get scared sometimes around new people or stressful situations and he has nipped a handful of times.. The rest of the time he’s super sweet, loving and has an awesome personality. He has no health issues and gets regular check-ups. He’ll be the best dog you’ve ever had! We are located in Yemassee, SC 29445.

Story
Molly came to us from another rescue in the area. They had rescued a lot of purebred dogs from out west who were used for breeding and asked if we`d take two. Molly was bred and had a terrible life before but now enjoys life to the fullest! She loves doing zoomies in her fosters yard and loves all the other dogs. Her tongue hangs out a bit due to all the extractions she had to have. She does spin sometimes, a lingering affect of living in a cage much of her life and feeling anxious. She is fostered in an all adult home, with dogs and cats. Molly is 8 and weighs 9.8 lb. She loves to be where you are! Looking for a close companion and willing to be patient as she adjusts, then Molly may be the girl for you. Spay, vaccines, microchip provided.
