Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Adoption fee:  $475.00   MEET NEWT   Newt is a very sweet and smart little Maltese boy who is up-to-date on everything . He is 4 years old and a 8.8 lb. bundle of love. He is usually very skittish when he first meets you and does not like to be approached until he checks you out for a few minutes. He will just back away until he's ready. A small treat usually helps to break the ice fast!    Newt loves to snuggle with his humans.  He is currently being spoiled in a foster home in Little River, SC where he made himself right at home, and instantly befriended their little Maltipoo girl.    We don’t know about cats, although he is very inquisitive when he hears the neighbor’s cat meowing next door. Newt is very playful and curious about everything.    Since Newt comes from a rather restricted environment, he will need a little help in the house-training department.  He has learned to walk on a leash but could benefit from some additional training. Newt loves to go for rides and does well in the car.  He loves his food (and treats) and is always first in line at feeding time.     Newt would do best in a forever home with a fenced yard as he is definitely an explorer inside and outside the home.   Adoption fee:  $475.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. You can help make a difference one dog at a time. If you would like to sponsor one of our babies, we accept online donations via PayPal or send a check to us at P.O. Box 2005, Chattanooga, TN 37409. Story
Please read the entire bio for this rescue, it will provide all the information that one needs to decide if they would like to apply to adopt from SCMR.Alvin   Adoption fee:  $500.00   Do you like to play?  I like to play.  And play.  And snuggle.  And play!  I finally figured out that my name is Alvin.  At first, I thought it was “What's-in-your-mouth-Alvin”, then “What-are-you-doing-Alvin”. My favorite now is “Good-Boy-Alvin”. I weigh 9 lbs and I’m a 10month old “toddler” so I do get up to a bit of mischief now and then!  I do best when I have some good chew toys to keep me busy or someone to play fetch with.  I’m up-to-date on everything and ready for my forever home. I am such a happy boy.  Even though I have lots of energy, I also love to snuggle and will fall asleep if you rub my belly.  I even fell asleep when I went to the vet!  I like going for walks and do well on the leash.  My house manners are getting really good as long as I get to go outside enough. The other dogs  here are nice and I get along great with them, especially the ones that want to play. I don’t know what cats are so I’m not sure how I feel about them.  If you think you need a happy guy like me, I’m waiting in Little River, SC.   Adoption fee:  $500.00 Out-of-state adoptions are possible; however, the approved adoptive home is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to pick up their new little one.   To be considered to adopt me, please fill out an APPLICATION.   NOTE: SCMR DOES NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10 years or homes with Electric Fences. Story
My adoption fee is $250 which covers my annual distemper booster, rabies, and being spayed/neutered and microchipped. Jazz is a very sweet but timid girl that needs someone who is patient with her until she is fully comfortable around them. She does need time to adjust and get to know you If you rush her, she becomes very skittish and will freeze. She has done very well with my family and is now my shadow who follows me around the house and wants to cuddle on the couch and bed. She has done great with all 5 of my dogs ranging from Great Danes to my beagle. She has been around my 3-year-old nephew and has been fine with him.  She does well in her crate but can cry for a few minutes but does settle down quickly. She hasn’t had any accidents in her crate and has done well with potty training but will have accidents if you aren’t watching her signals to go out. She is a very sweet girl just unsure of new people until she gets to know them!  Has shown no signs of aggression over food, toys or any interaction.November 19, 2024, 10:09 am
