Meet Spruce - the perfect couch companion! Spruce is a sweet and gentle senior pup with a heart full of love. A true gentleman, he's shy at first but warms up quickly. He's fully potty trained and the definition of a low maintenance best friend. His favorite pastime is snoozing on the couch and keeping you company with his calm and soothing presence. He's quiet, compliant, and happiest in a relaxed, peaceful home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort. If you're looking for a loyal, easygoing companion to share your days, Spruce would love to be your match. Give this deserving pup a chance to show you the pure joy of senior dog love!

Story
LOCATION: LINWOOD, NC ADOPTION FEE: $400 www.schnauzersaversrescuers.org MILO is a pure bred MALTESE, 5 yrs old male. He is white and feels like silk. He is UTD on vaccines/rabies and Bordetella, groomed and microchipped. He is neutered and heartworm negative. He’s on heartworm prevention and been dewormed. Milo never meets a stranger, no matter if it’s a dog or person. He adapts well to a new environment rather quickly. This little one is about 13 lbs. And he loves to be the boss, yet not in an aggressive way at all. He likes to talk to you and tell ou stories. Follows you around the house and learns very quickly. First day in his foster home, she moved the gate to enter into another room, turned around and within a minute, Milo moved the gate and followed her. He enjoys going outside in the fenced yard to explore. His foster Mom stays outside with him and he has good recall. He came as a breeder surrender, along with others. These dogs lived outdoors and still learning to go out on command. So Milo would do best being on a consistent schedule or a belly band in the beginning. He does well with other dogs in the home, but does like to take the role of being the leader. Kids should be over 10 as these dogs have never lived with a child of any age. If you’re interested, please complete an application on our website not on ADOPT A PET. We do not ship animals anywhere. We do not charge to complete an application. If you’re asked to pay to apply then STOP right there, you aren’t on our website. WE do NOT get those apps. He is being fostered in Linwood, NC, so you must be willing to come pick him up. If you are not ready to adopt now, please do not ask us to hold a dog. Requirements: No Kids www.schnauzersaversrescuers.org

Story
Ace is a very spoiled lovable boy. We’ve had him for 8 years and unfortunately we need to find him another home because I recently had a baby and also work from home and cannot handle them all. Ace is very gentle and a great listener he does require frequent bathroom breaks so ideally someone who can be home with him. He’s not a runner. He will always come back home. I usually just open the door and he comes back right now. I don’t feel like him provide the best life for him, which is why we are with a rehoming he is also getting older and has less control over his bowels and with a crawler in my home I have a serious concern for cleanliness and safety of the infant.

Say hello to Luca, our affectionate and playful 10 lb Maltese mix who was found as a stray in Orange County. Luca has stolen our hearts with his silly antics (he loves showing off his teeth in the funniest way!) and his love for cuddles. But behind that adorable smile, Luca has some medical challenges. He has a heart murmur, tooth decay, and gum disease that need immediate attention. He’s working on getting healthy and will soon need dental treatment to ease his discomfort and keep that silly grin intact. Once he has completed his surgery, he will be available for adoption.&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 How You Can Help: We’re looking for sponsors to help cover Luca’s medical and dental care. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › FOSTER HOME IN PLACE MCGRUFF IS AWAITING SURGERY He goes by many names... McGruff, McGriddle, McGruber, McGiblet, so we just call him McG McGruntles is a 1 year Maltese saved from a puppy mill.  Until coming to the rescue, he never knew that people could be loving.  He was quiet, reserved, and shut down. After spending some time in a foster home, McGiblet has found his voice and is quite the diva!  He does bark quite a bit to get your attention.  It's a loud piercing bark  McGruber puts his little paw up to play with you and give you the tiniest high-five, which is heartbreakingly adorable McGriddle is NOT potty trained-- he will eliminate on pee pads.  He is not leash-trained, and thrashes around like a fish on a line.  He prefers to be carried everywhere like the little prince he knows he is. McGobbler is only 5 lbs, but he thinks he is 100.  He 'guards' his crate and attempts to chase away other larger dogs (who promptly ignore him).  But given this, McGrumpy will not be a good fit in a home where other dogs might react to his posturing.   Finally, McGaga does have special needs.  He has a congenital heart condition (PDA) that is fixable with surgery.  The rescue is raising funds to pay for the surgery in full to be done at NC State.  This will fix his grade 5 heart murmer.  We are looking for someone to foster McGump through his surgery and eventually adopt.  While his current foster mama loves him, he is the sort of little dog that wants to be carried around and absorb all the attention from the human.   Are you interested?  Please submit an application.  Preference will be given to applicants within easy driving distance of NC State Veterinary School Want to help with McGruff's surgery?
