Story
Looking for a rock star addition to your family? Meet Foo Fighter, a 6-month-old terrier mix who's ready to be the lead singer of your heart! This 14-pound Tennessee transplant is full of southern charm!
Foo Fighter is the definition of a people person (or should we say people pup?). He believes there are no strangers in this world - just friends he hasn't met yet! He's enthusiastic, super friendly, extremely affectionate and fearless! Think of him as your furry shadow; he'll follow you from room to room, always ready to be part of whatever adventure you're embarking on, whether it's a neighborhood walk or just a quick trip to the bathroom.
Even though he's only been in foster care for a few days, Foo Fighter is already showing what a clever boy he can be. He's making progress with his potty training and enjoying his daily walks while working on his leash manners. Recently, he's discovered the joy of puzzle toys, showing just how bright and eager to learn he truly is.
As a true velcro dog, Foo Fighter wants nothing more than to be by your side. His favorite past times include jumping into your lap, playing fetch with stuffed toys and gently nibbling on your toes.
He does get a bit anxious when left alone, expressing his feelings with some vocal performances (aka crying when he can't see you). But with patience and guidance, he's ready to learn how to be more independent. He would flourish in a home with an energetic canine sibling who can show him the ropes, or with experienced kids who can match his playful spirit and help him grow into the amazing dog he's destined to be.
Foo Fighter is ready to rock your world with his boundless love and infectious enthusiasm. With a little patience and a lot of love, he's sure to become the perfect harmony in your home.
He is being fostered in West New York, NJ. His adoption fee is $500.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
