Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095) from 11am - 3pm. Looking for a rock star addition to your family? Meet Foo Fighter, a 6-month-old terrier mix who's ready to be the lead singer of your heart! This 14-pound Tennessee transplant is full of southern charm! Foo Fighter is the definition of a people person (or should we say people pup?). He believes there are no strangers in this world - just friends he hasn't met yet! He's enthusiastic, super friendly, extremely affectionate and fearless! Think of him as your furry shadow; he'll follow you from room to room, always ready to be part of whatever adventure you're embarking on, whether it's a neighborhood walk or just a quick trip to the bathroom. Even though he's only been in foster care for a few days, Foo Fighter is already showing what a clever boy he can be. He's making progress with his potty training and enjoying his daily walks while working on his leash manners. Recently, he's discovered the joy of puzzle toys, showing just how bright and eager to learn he truly is. As a true velcro dog, Foo Fighter wants nothing more than to be by your side. His favorite past times include jumping into your lap, playing fetch with stuffed toys and gently nibbling on your toes. He does get a bit anxious when left alone, expressing his feelings with some vocal performances (aka crying when he can't see you). But with patience and guidance, he's ready to learn how to be more independent. He would flourish in a home with an energetic canine sibling who can show him the ropes, or with experienced kids who can match his playful spirit and help him grow into the amazing dog he's destined to be. Foo Fighter is ready to rock your world with his boundless love and infectious enthusiasm. With a little patience and a lot of love, he's sure to become the perfect harmony in your home. He is being fostered in West New York, NJ. His adoption fee is $500. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Saturday, November 23rd, 2024 at Woodbridge High School (1 Samuel Lupo Pl, Woodbridge, NJ 07095) from 11am - 3pm. Hey New York! Foghat-affectionately known as "Froggy"-here to announce that I'm officially up for adoption and ready to find my forever family! I'm a two year old, 10 pound Maltipoo, and I'm super friendly! I get along great with other dogs and have made friends with pups ranging from 7 to 65 pounds in my foster home. I'd love to have a canine buddy or two in my new family and a yard where I can burn off some energy! I've also been around kids and do very well with them. Once playtime is over, I'm a total couch potato, so I'd be a perfect work-from-home partner. If you're searching for a small and funny companion for both adventures and cuddles, I'm your guy! Bonus points if you have liverwurst-it's my absolute favorite! Foghat is currently being fostered in Staten Island. His adoption fee is $500. Story
My name is GRUMPY and I’m a 5y M Tan Shih Tzu X. I’m 15 lbs of PURE SWEET GROUCHINESS. I was brought to a police precinct in the Bronx, NY and luckily the rescue was able to save me before I was taken to the shelter. I was affectionately named Grumpy because I was not immediately warm and fuzzy with the foster mom and growled at her a lot… but once I got to know her and she went slow with me to introduce me to her household… I trusted her and she can do anything to me now. I’m a little guarded with strangers and rightly so because I was pretty much neglected by my previous family. I’m housebroken and walk well on the leash and I can be picked up and handled as long as you slow. I’m a nice guy but nervous at first so I need someone who is going to be patient and believe in me and give me the TLC I need. I’m good with small dogs but am afraid of big dogs and will snap/snark at them. I’ve not met any cats so not sure about them and best if I don’t go with any young kids. I prefer to be the ONLY DOG so I can get all the attention that I never got in my previous home. My only other vice is that it’s not easy to groom me.. I’m nervous around objects coming to my face so I need to go to an experienced groomer but I was fine being handled by the vet. I need a QUIET ADULT ONLY home with someone or a couple that are home a lot and have had previous experience with a “grumpy” dog and are willing to give me the TLC and believe in me to make me the SWEET AND LOVING dog I know I can be!! If that’s you.. pls request an application by sending an email to: INFO@TAILSOFLOVERESCUE.ORGOctober 21, 2024, 12:19 am

Story
We rescued this puppy from an abusive household, she used to tremble if you reached out to touch her, she didn’t know how to climb stairs at 8 months old, and would eat likes she’s never eaten before. Her hair was clumped and dirty, and with fleas. She’s gotten way better as we have taken care of her but unfortunately we cannot house another dog for long. We want to give it a good home with loving family.

Story
Leia is a very special Maltese mix. I have known her since she was a puppy and I love her very much. However, Leia was adopted by my sister during COVID-19 and unfortunately my sister was unable to provide her with a stable home. We are now looking for a new home for little Leia, and since I love her dearly I am looking for someone who will love her even more and someone I can have a great relationship with long-term (as I have her son Moo, the black and white dog). Leia is super energetic, an awesome jumper, loves to play fetch and has a wonderful personality. She is not neutered and needs up to date shots. She had a surgery on her tail last year, so now she has a small little fluffy tail. Overall, she is a great dog. She has had some difficulty potty training over the years, so she unfortunately still does have accidents in the house. But with love and training, I believe she can overcome this. I am looking for a new owner in the next 2 weeks. Message me if interested.
