Story
Canela is 3 years old she just turned 3 in October. She is a sweet baby looking for her person. She is dog friendly but we believe Canela will do great as the only girl. She loves dressing up and loves going on doggie walks. She loves car rides. Canela gets cooked meals and prefers wet food over kibble. She is very spoiled by her foster family. She is potty trained and will let you know when she has to use the bathroom. She is very smart and the biggest sweetheart.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Little Man is a handsome boy who is looking for a new home. Little Man is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana. Unfortunately , it   was determined that Little Man has a serious heart murmur and the vet in Louisiana did not recommend proceeding with his neuter. Additionally, he recently tested positive for heartworm. Due to that murmur, slow-kill treatment for heartworm is recommended. Slow-kill treatment includes rounds of antibiotics and heartworm prevention over a period of 1-3 years until the heartworms are no longer present. Little Man has been started on this regimen. He cannot be neutered so will need to be placed in a home where this will not present an issue. He is on vetmedin to help his heart function. With murmurs, they can change abruptly or slowly over time. Little Man might be a hospice placement living less than a year or he could live for several years if progression is slow, it is very difficult to say.  Little Man and several other yorkie and Maltese were dumped at a shelter when their breeder shut down. Our partner rescue in Louisiana stepped in to help save these pups! They are all a bit shy but they are learning how to live in foster homes. They all LOVE other dogs and would do best in homes with other dogs. We aren't too sure on cats or kids yet for most of these dogs.  Little Man is up to date on vaccines. His adoption fee is $300.   Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Snowball is a beauty who is looking for a new home. Snowball is now in a NJ foster home. Snowball and several other yorkie and Maltese were dumped at a shelter when their breeder shut down. Our partner rescue in Louisiana stepped in to help save these pups! We think Snowball is either a M altese or M altese/Yorkie mix. Snowball is super friendly with all dogs and humans.  However, she is not housetrained yet.  We were doing well when the cold spell hit and there has been a regression.  She is learning! She would do best in homes with other dogs, the more the merrier!  She has lived with multiples for her entire life so it is her foster's opinion that she definitely needs to placed with at LEAST one other dog but two or more would be even better.  It's not that she needs to play with them, she is self-sufficient but her foster mom thinks multiple dogs being around is a comfort to her.  She is truly the super cutie noted in her tag line and just loves to cuddle.  She is not a fan of being crated, for which she is not to blame coming from an entire life at a breeders.   Snowball is now fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. The vet identified she has a luxating patella on her rear leg which is common in small dogs. It was their assessment it did not require surgery. Her adoption fee is $450.   Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. Story
This little guy came into the rescue when his elderly owner could no longer properly care for him. He arrived completely matted and with a double ear infection (for which he is currently on oral antibiotics/eardrops). Since this last owner was not the original, we don’t know his exact age but our vet is estimating apx 6-8 years old. He has been fantastic with dogs of all sizes, non-reactive to the cats, and was previously around young children. He is also crate trained. If you are interested in learning more about little Ace, please text/call Aly at 732-604-0625. We can text you videos of him in playgroup, too!
