Teddy is a breeder release Morkie (Yorkie/Maltese) who was born in July 2024. He is friendly and loves everybody. He loves to run and play with his little friends and has been learning to walk on a leash. Teddy is pretty new to everything, so he will need to be potty trained and learn the routine of your home. Teddy is a happy energetic pup and he would love to meet you and your family! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Verona is a Maltese mix who came to the shelter on November 8th as a local breeder release. We're guessing she's around 2 years old and that she could be mixed with other small breeds like poodle and/or Yorkie. Verona is bouncy and outgoing once she is comfortable. She will be spayed on Nov. 26th and her fee is $200. Verona needs a somewhat quiet home with the the ability to give her the time she needs to adjust and the training she requires. She's a sweet girl but does scare easily. We think she would do best in an adult only home (teens are fine). She should be okay with other smaller dogs. We don't think cats would be a problem. A fenced yard would be perfect for her. She has been recently shaved but will require regular grooming. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Celia came to the shelter on November 8th after being released/surrendered by a breeder who wanted to reduce the number of dogs at their home. She's a sweet and bouncy purebred Maltese who can be a little shy when she meets new people. She does enjoy attention and is very cuddly and playful. She came to us already microchipped and has been vet checked and spayed. Her fee is $200. Celia is looking for a somewhat quiet home without young kids. Someone who is experienced with her breed or similar breeds would be great. She does need basic training in all areas. She should be good with other smaller dogs and cats. She will require regular grooming. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved.
