You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sprite and his sisters found themselves dumped in a high kill shelter in West Texas. They were so young they needed to be bottle fed.  They are all ready to travel and find their forever homes. They love all dogs and everyone, cats are unknown but they would be fine with being as young as they are. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training to be successful, First priority will go to someone who lives in the twin cities metro in order to bring to a vetting appointment if needed.  Please put in your application on our website mattysheartandsoulanimalrescue.rescuegroups.org.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 25, 2025, 11:25 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I’m Opie! I’m a 2-year-old Maltipoo, weighing in at just 8 pounds of fluff and potential. I’ve had a bit of a rough start and can be scared of people and skittish, but with patience, kindness, and time, I am blossiming in my foster home. Here’s what you should know about me: I’m happiest when I’m with other dogs, especially my confident furry friends who help me feel safe and teach me the ropes. I love wrestling with them, basking in the sun, running around in the yard, and playing with my soft, stuffed toys. I love going for walks and am just learning how to sniff and smell the roses along the way.  I have a weakness for homemade dehydrated beef liver—yum!-- But I am not too fussy when it comes to treat time. I understand lots of human commands: outside, crate, treat, and supper time! I’m working really hard on trusting humans, and I am making more human friends every day. My foster parent has been helping me learn with gentle cuddle sessions, and I’m slowly making progress. I approach humans for playtime now—though I still get a little nervous if things move too fast. I do enjoy quiet, early morning tummy rubs, and snuggles throughout the day! Potty training and leash training are still a work in progress for me, so I’ll need a secure, fenced yard in my forever home. I’m also a bit of an escape artist, so doors and gates will need to stay closed tight! At night, I’ve figured out my routine—I sleep best where I can snuggle up in bed near my favorite human ands doggy friend. It makes me feel safe and calm. I know I’m not your average puppy—I need an experienced adopter who can be patient, gentle, and understanding. Having another confident dog in the house is a must for me. If you’re up for the challenge, I promise I’ll try my hardest to make you proud. Underneath my fear is a sweet, mischievous little pup just waiting to come out. Are you the one who can help me find my courage? *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hello everyone, my name is Russet.  I am a very tiny 5 lb. Maltese boy about one year old.  I am lots of fun with my random bursts of happy energy but I am also content to hang out with my person all day. One of my favorite things is to play with small tennis balls.  I am great with other dogs of all sizes and with small, respectful children.  I’m working on potty training but I’m pretty smart so I know I’ll pick it up with some gentle help and a good schedule.  My leash training is coming along so I won’t need a fenced yard to go potty.  Sometimes I freeze when I’m on a leash because I’m not quite used to it yet but I am getting there. I won’t need another dog in the home to keep me company as long as my people are home with me most of the time but it would be nice to have a calm and confident canine companion.  I bark when I want someone to pick me up. I’m really little and I don’t want to be overlooked.  I also bark when left alone or when put in a crate.  Shared walls might not be a good idea for me. I know how to sit when asked.  I’ve never been around kitties but I bet it would be OK because I am such a sweet and laid-back little guy.  My foster mom says I am a super sweet little fella.  I sure would love to have a home of my very own and a family to cuddle up with. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  I know you want to meet me. I will be at Chuck & Don's, Eden Prairie, 8022 Den Rd, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 for an Adoption Event on Saturday, April 19th from 11:00-1:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs.     Meet Hyacinth: Your Pocket-Sized Companion!   She is a little Lady, with a big personality!  Hyacinth is a petite Maltese-Chihuahua blend weighing just under 6 pounds, but don't let her tiny size fool you – this puppy (under 1 year) packs a whole lot of love into her small frame! She's the perfect combination of playful energy and affectionate snuggles.   This lively little lady is still working on her potty training – she's making progress but will need a patient adopter willing to continue her education. While she's not yet comfortable in a crate (she'll let you know with her vocal protests!), she makes up for it with her curious nature and loving disposition.   Hyacinth truly loves EVERYONE she meets! Her favorite move? Being carried close while she rests her little head right on your neck – pure puppy bliss! She's also quite the acrobat, climbing to the back of the couch to perch on your shoulder like a tiny, furry parrot. This energetic girl adores small squeaky toys that match her size, and she's absolutely food-motivated (making future training easier!). She's learning her basic commands including "come" and "go potty." While thunderstorms and loud noises can make her nervous, Hyacinth is making steady progress with leash training. She doesn't require a fenced yard and will do well with regular leash walks for exercise and potty breaks. Hyacinth gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and does well with children under 12. She hasn't been tested with cats yet. While she doesn't need another dog in her forever home, she certainly enjoys the company! This little lady has found her voice! She'll greet you with excited squeals when you return home and enjoys expressing herself outdoors, though she's learning indoor quiet time is preferred. Looking for a pint-sized companion with a heart as big as can be? Hyacinth might just be your perfect match!&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139 **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! P lease note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   This puppy requires an application fee. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. Story
Popcorn is about 18 lbs., 14 years old and according to Google lens, a West highland terrier. Animal Care Services thought he was a Maltese mix and foster mom thinks he could be a Schnauzer/Maltese mix but knows for sure that he is the cutest scruffy EVER!!! His journey hasn't been all snuggles and treats as he lived on someone's apartment patio for years, lying in poop, grass and other debris until Animal Care Services came for him and God's Dogs Rescue was able to save the little scamp. While he still loves his humans, other gentle pups his size (cats unknown) and his squishy toys and chewy, understandably he has a few emotional scars especially regarding vet visits and grooming. Slow, patient progress in these areas has helped him be more confident, but will need a patient adopter to help him adapt. Things that make Popcorn super happy are spending time with his humans after he gets to know them, car rides and walks in the park. He loves, loves his squishy toys and generally carries one around with him. His most favorite game is for his person to chase him and pretend to take his squishy away. He also like to run zooms and if there isn't a person to play with he will often throw his toys for himself. Doesn't that just make you want to throw his stuffies so he can play?? He's a healthy guy for his age with just a few old man issues (beginnings of cataracts) that he takes supplements for and should continue taking. His liver enzymes were high when tested but he is on a med to help them normalize. Can you give this boy the right lap to live in?? He needs very patient/knowledgeable adopters, no children- adult only because he will bite if afraid... It is a work in progress but he is becoming the goofy boy he was meant to be while living on the nasty hot and freezing porch for most of his 14 yrs :( GIVE HIM A CHANCE!!! Local adoption only $200 (in TX)
