This is "Perla". Perla is a Maltese Shih Tzu mix. She is about 6-7 years old and she weighs about 12-13 pounds. Perla was recently given away for free over Facebook and it was indicated that Perla likes children. The lady who took Perla has younger children and, sadly, Perla growled at the children. The lady could not keep Perla and had no choice but to find a place for Perla so the lady contacted us. Perla is a very nice little dog. She would make a great companion for a retired couple. You must own your own home. No condos. No apartments. Children must be 12 years old or older. Perla went to our veterinarian and she got spayed, she got her shots, she tested negative for heartworm and she even got her teeth cleaned! Perla got the works! To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Perla is $450.00. No credit cards. Depending on how Perla feels after her spay, you may be able to meet her on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. Meet Milo!!! This special boy is a 4 1/2 year old, 11 lbs maltipoo. He is the complete package. This sweet boy is good with other dogs both big and small. He is also good with cats. Milo is an active little guy that has the best time running and playing with his foster brothers and sisters. They all have the best time in their fenced in yard.
