You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dexter! Say hello to Dexter, a lovable mixed Maltese male with a heart as big as his personality! Born around April 16, 2024, Dexter weighs in at a cuddly 17.1 pounds and is ready to find his forever home. Dexter’s journey started off rough—he was living on the streets until a kind-hearted Good Samaritan stepped in and gave him a second chance. Despite his tough beginnings, Dexter is incredibly friendly and full of joy. He gets along great with other dogs and charms everyone he meets with his funny, goofy personality. This little guy lives for attention and isn’t shy about stealing the spotlight! If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will keep you laughing and love you endlessly, Dexter is your guy. His adoption fee is $350, and you can apply for him at www.adoggie4you.org. Dexter is ready to bring joy to your life—are you ready to meet him? This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 27, 2025, 6:47 pm

Story
Meet Yeti, a SUPER cute ~1 year old neutered male Maltese/Chinese Crested mix, weighing about 11 lbs! Yeti is a happy, friendly boy who gets along well with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. He is medically up to date, outdoor housebroken, pad trained, and crate trained. A 100% good doggo!  **PLEASE NOTE: Yeti will be available at our adoption event on 6/22 at Petco in Dayville, CT. We are accepting applications on him now! We work hard to match each dog to the best applicant for them, so we will start processing applications closer to the event.** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2411144##

Story
Meet Thumper, a SUPER cute male Maltese/yorkie mix puppy! Thumper and his brothers (Roger Rabbit, Fiver, Peter Cottontail, and Bugs Bunny) were born to mama Lola on 4/16/2025. Mom is a 10 lb Maltese mix and we expect these pups/bunnies to stay on the smaller side as well.  Thumper is a typical happy, friendly puppy who loves everyone! Good with other dogs, cats, people, and kids. Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper training and socialization, will grow into wonderful dogs. **PLEASE NOTE: Thumper and his siblings will be available at our adoption event on 6/22 at Petco in Dayville, CT (they will be 9 weeks old at that time). We are accepting applications on them now! We work hard to match each dog to the best applicant for them, so we will start processing applications closer to the event.** Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
