DOB 5-25-2024 Ayman is a sweetheart! This little boy is social, loves toys and friends to play with and gets along good with others. He is neutered, heartworm negatiive and received his ProHeart 6 injection. His adoption fee is 750.00 and his transport fee is 165.00 The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

This is "Perla". Perla is a Maltese Shih Tzu mix. She is about 6-7 years old and she weighs about 12-13 pounds. Perla was recently given away for free over Facebook and it was indicated that Perla likes children. The lady who took Perla has younger children and, sadly, Perla growled at the children. The lady could not keep Perla and had no choice but to find a place for Perla so the lady contacted us. Perla is a very nice little dog. She is just great! She would make a great companion for a retired couple. You must own your own home. No condos. No apartments. Children must be 12 years old or older. Perla went to our veterinarian and she got spayed, she got her shots, she tested negative for heartworm and she even got her teeth cleaned! Perla got the works! To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Perla is $450.00. No credit cards. Meet Johnny, a SUPER cute and fluffy male maltese/yorkie mix puppy! Johnnu and his sister, Frances, were born to mama Baby on 12/6/2024 (mom is about 7 lbs). They are both expected to stay tiny like their mama! Johnny is a typical happy, playful puppy who loves everyone (dogs, cats, people, and kids)! Young puppies are like blank slates who, with proper socialization and training, will grow into wonderful dogs! Johnny is medically up to date (age appropriate) and will be available at our adoption event on 2/23 at Petco in Dayville, CT! Applications are being accepted now and we will review applications based on best fit for these puppies as the event gets closer. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save.
