Story
Shale is a loving guy who enjoys attention and cuddles. Like most cats, he lets you know when he's had enough though! Unfortunately due to his love of affection from us, he's become aggressive with our other (human) baby. I believe he would be fine with an older child, but certainly not a baby just learning to walk. He would prefer a home without other animals, but tolerates our cat. He was rescued from a home that kept him in a bedroom for about two years after the family got a dog he didn't get along with, so no dogs are recommended. He's approximately 10 years old. He was born without a voice box, so his meows are sweet yet silent. Please come meet and fall in love with Shale!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet Ed Sheeran! This 6 month old fluffy kitten is a complete heart breaker!! He has SO much love to give and has such an awesome personality. He was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina, and was an absolute favorite of his foster mom (shhh don't tell the others!) He would sleep cuddled in bed with her every night. He is so friendly and affectionate and gets along great with everyone - cats, kittens, dogs, kids, you name it! When he's not cuddling with someone, you can often find him perched regally on his cat tree either gazing out the window or watching over his empire. He wraps his tail around his feet when he's sitting, and it makes him look so dapper! We love Eddie and we know you will too!  This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on distemper and rabies vaccinations, dewormings, tested negative for FIV/Felv, is on flea/tick preventative and ear mite preventative. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out a 'Cat Adoption Application'   at   www.DelawarePetRescue.org/forms       Adoption fee is: $300Can’t adopt? Consider donating! Story
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION: Edgar is an adult Maine Coon. He is a big, cuddly boy. Edgar needs a diet of good quality wet food, not dry. He has problems with constipation. He has tested positive for FIV, but is in good health. Recent dental. He will be stressed by other male cats and will be aggressive, but is fine if those other cats are calm. He gets along with females okay. He does not like dogs. He is very affectionate and sweet toward people. He is stressed around small children. Edgar needs in an adopter who has a good relationship with their vet. Edgar is trained to allow claw clipping and likes carriers. He will need frequent claw trims. He is very good with medical care, including oral medication and fluids. He is a large cat, and Maine Coons are smart and need a lot of enrichment in their environment in order to not become destructive out of boredom. The right adopter will understand that a large long haired Maine Coon will need certain additions in their environment and diet. We are not sure exactly how old Edgar is, but we suspect over eight years.
