Story
My name is Kyla Carter, I am looking to surrender my dog Yogi to whom ever would love to take care of him. Yogi is about a year old, he is a mixed breed, he weighs about 61.40 Pounds , and he is neutered. Yogi is good around a selective few dogs and I don’t know to my knowledge if Yogi is or isnt good with cats. His previous owner told me Yogi is a bit weird around children (a little skittish) . A little background: About 3-4 months ago Yogi’s previous owner surrendered him to me and told me he attacked there senior dog. So I took on the challenge of keeping him but recently I’ve injured myself and I can no longer take care of him. So if anyone would like to adopt him it would be helpful! He’s a bit afraid of strangers but once he warms up to you he is your best buddy! He’s such a good house dog and such a chill calm boy.

Story
URGENT: Can you help me? I need a FOSTER home or an ADOPTIVE home by 11/15/2024. I am currently in Texas awaiting my second chance. Not all pups are lucky enough to get out but, with your help, I may just have that chance! If you can help, please apply online: www.HBWI.org. Say hello to River! This senior black lab is all about those “old man vibes.” He’s laid-back but loves his walks and car rides. River is looking for a cozy home where he can relax and enjoy life. Will you be the one to give him the love he deserves? FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping. For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics. To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.

Dottie is an amazing pet! We love her very much! But we have had some lifestyle changes and we feel it is best to find her a new home where someone has more time to spend with her and space for her to be! She is kind, gentle, smart, food driven, and could use more exercise than we can give her. We are heartbroken to let he go and are hoping to find a safe loving home for her. ❤️

Story
Bristol is a 1-year-old, 44-pound, lab mix. She is super sweet & loves affection, especially belly rubs. Bristol was found as a stray on the streets of Texas & was in a shutdown state when she arrived at the Texas shelter. After about a week, her true self came out & she loved playing with the other dogs. She likes tug toys & squeakers. She will need someone patient enough to let her slowly come out of her shell. She would be too scared of small, unpredictable children & would love a home with another medium energy dog to play with.DATCP#483538

Story
Jessica Jones here though you can call me Jess. I’m a 2-year-old lab mix weighing about 60 lbs. I’m the perfect size not too big & not too small. I was found as a stray in Texas & have been blessed to come to Wisconsin to find my furever home. I’m spayed & microchipped. I’m a beautiful, sweet, calm, shy girl who loves other doggies. I’ll bow, wiggle my butt, & bop other doggies to get them to play with me. I play with dogs my size & even bigger. I love to play chase with other dogs, too, or my humans. I really enjoy toys that make sounds like squeaky toys & stuffed animals those are both my favorites. I’ll chew on nylabones, too. I’m shy & timid though friendly to all people. I adore children & I’m gentle with them. I crave attention, just wanting pets & cuddles. I need positive reinforcement & a patient family to help boost my confidence. I just want to please my humans. I’m crate trained & go in my crate when my humans are gone & other times for a nap to relax. At night I have free reign & usually sleep by the other doggies in the house or my humans.I’m learning commands like sit and shake. I’m doing well with house training, too. I like to go for walks a day am doing well on a leash. I am food motivated which helps with learning. I don’t bark much at all. I look forward to meeting you. Please help me find my furever home!DATCP#483538

It's so lucky he was discovered and got medical care when he did!  He's doing wonderfully in his foster home, with both dogs and humans. At events he meets children and has done so well with all of them as well! He loves ice, water, food an toys.  Overall- he's a fun, active, sweet boy. He's high energy, so he loves having a buddy to play with and going on walks. He loves to snuggle his humans, especially while he catches a quick nap.   Is your home right for Bubba? Adoption Fee: $450We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433   ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are 6 months to 1 year or age. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.  at one of our preferred clinics. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out. November 3, 2024, 12:58 pm
