Story
Lou Lou came to DHS after her owner could no longer properly give her the life she deserved. Lou Lou's mom was a Amish rescue, lab mix that was taken in, and had puppies with an unknown father. Lou Lou had found a home as a puppy but returned back at 1 year old. Lou Lou is a super sweet girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people. When she is happy to see you she will smile! It is the cutest! Lou Lou has lived with other dogs, cats and children. Lou Lou was not taught many manners as a young girl, but with the right training and consistency she will make a loving smart companion! Lou Lou has lived both inside and outside she is not fully potty trained but is crate trained.

If old enough they are spayed or neutered, otherwise it will be noted and under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon request and proof of surgery. A transportation fee of $300 is required and covers health certificate to travel as well as transportation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Meet Dallas: Your Next Adventure Buddy!** Dallas is a fun-loving, outgoing guy who's always up for an adventure. He adores both people and other dogs, making friends wherever he goes. While he's still mastering leash manners, he's making amazing progress every day. Dallas is fully potty trained and knows how to use a doggy door. He's already mastered "sit" and taking treats gently, and he's currently working on giving paw. Riding in the car is one of Dallas's favorite activities, especially when he can look out the windows. His foster family adores him and can't say enough about his sweet nature. Dallas has a special love for water, so if you're looking for a beach or hiking buddy, he's your guy. Dallas is a perfect mix of active and laid-back. He loves to play and burn off energy but is just as happy to relax once he's had his fun. He would thrive in a home with a yard and other dogs or with an active family ready to include him in their adventures. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Dallas is the one for you! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Texas- My rescue will make all arrangements for me to travel to you as soon as I am adopted. Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Please be advised that our dogs are adopted to their forever families prior to being transported. Unfortunately, it is not possible to meet the dogs in person prior to adoption. We will Facetime, Zoom and you may speak with the dog foster family. We only send well behaved, well rounded dogs, sending anything other fails the dogs. We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable. Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran and you have no clue how bad it is down here; we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision, or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog.

Story
Calling all big dog lovers! This handsome guy is ready for a new home!Louie is a young adult Lab mix that came to our shelter as a stray, and went unclaimed. We are estimating him to be around 2 -3 years old, and he currently weighs a healthy 105 pounds! Pictures just don't do his size justice! Despite his size Louie truly is a gentle giant that just wants to cuddle, and soak up any attention he can get from volunteers and staff. He does occasionally like to jump up and hug people, but once he gets over his initial excitement of meeting you he will just stand by your size waiting to be pet. In the short time before him coming to he shelter we did learn from his finders that he doesn't do well with chickens, and other small animals. Louie seems to fairly neutral to other dogs here at the shelter so he could potentially joining a home with other dogs. We feel he could do well in a home with kids as well but his size should be considered when around little ones as his enjoyment of being around people may too much for small/younger kids.Louie's adoption fee is $200, and he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and will receive monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention while in our care.
