Story
Micki is a wonderful dog who loves people. She has done well with kids in the past, but does not live with any children at this time. She does live with cats and does well with them. Micki can be very reactive/aggressive towards other dogs, and has gone through some training to help with that issue, but needs to be an only dog in a home.  Micki needs to be placed in a home with people who have experience working with dogs who are reactive to other dogs. She must be on a leash or in a secure fenced yard when outside.  Micki was born in 2011. Being a senior gal, she has some urinary incontinence which is controlled with a medication called Proin and it works great. Micki has been through several basic obedience classes, as well as some specialty classes to help her with impulse control. She is very treat-motivated and eager to please. Some of the commands she knows include "sit", "down", "stay", "come" and "place". She walks with a gentle leader, but is still working on heeling nicely. One of Micki's most favorite activity is to play fetch, and she would play it all day long if she could. She is extremely athletic and very focused on the ball. Micki likes to go swimming, especially if it includes fetching a stick. She also likes to play with toys, but gets a little too excited at the sound of anything that squeaks. While in the house, Micki is very well-behaved and is just happy to be with her people. She also loves to go on car rides and is a great co-pilot. MICKI NEEDS AN EXPERIENCED DOG PERSON AND FENCED-IN YARD/NEVER OFF LEASH.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 12:12 am

Story
Jasmine was surrendered by an owner who could no longer care for her. She is a purebred lab, without papers and was used for breeding. She is a sweet girl with tons of energy, and an active family would be great for her! She does phenomenal in the car, knows sit, stay, shake and lay down. She lived with numerous other dogs previously, but we are unsure about cats. She is looking for her second chance at life with a family that will treat her as such.  If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts.  Please visit our website for additional information. Story
Luna is a 2.5 year old former breeding dog- she is so happy to have escaped that life! She is very energetic and loves to be on the move, and her new family should be the same! She's a smart girl and knows basic commands, but due to her background doesn't have the best manners- but she'll get the hang of it in no time!  If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application.  Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together!
