Story
Dani is a 7yr old Silver Labrador Retriever. I have had her since she was 2 yrs old. She is such a great, well mannered, cuddly, loving, sweet girl. She LOVES to be outdoors running around and getting daily exercise. She has been around horses, chickens, cats, pigs, goats, other dogs, and more. She does great with all these animals and will listen to you when called. The only thing I will say, she can be pretty dominant towards other female dogs. She is truly the most loyal lab. She listens great off leash, and will follow you anywhere. I have had lots of people say she is such a good girl and "my little shadow". Another thing to be aware of is she is not great with babies/toddlers bothering her. She has only had one incident in the house where she growled/warned our toddler to back off and leave her alone. Dani also loves to swim, play fetch, and go for walks. We're hoping to find her a home where she can live the rest of her years happy & getting plenty of outside air that she loves.

Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 4 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her previous foster family had shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love!   Luna's biggest obstacle is that she is dog reactive, so she needs to be the only pet in a home with a fenced yard.   Luna is currently in boarding and working on training, but really needs a home to call her very own.   More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Luna can be anxious around younger kids.  So a home with kids 12+ is needed for this girl.  Luna is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Luna’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1817860##

Story
We have another Poppy—and we hope she is just as popular as the Poppy we posted earlier this week. This Poppy is about one year old and is a 50 lbs pittie mix.   She is an active playful girl who would do best in a  home with a fenced yard  or a very active family who will take her running or hiking regularly.    She could also do well on a farm where she has a job and something to keep her busy.   She loves to explore! Poppy is completely housebroke and goes right in her kennel when given the command.   She loves to chew on bones!  She does well with other dogs. She loves to go on walks, but can still pull a bit on leash. Poppy needs a family who is experienced with dogs and will commit to socializing her safely.   She can bark and lunge when meeting new people on leash.   In the home, she also barks and is not a fan of guests, but if given time and space warms up.   The key is just having the guest ignore her and let Poppy decide  who and when (or if) she wants to interact.  Treats help a lot. She will often come up and sniff the new person She is working on muzzle training, which will help her family to have more socialization for her in a healthy and positive way.   She does seem to prefer women over men.  She has not been around kids or cats. If you are an experienced dog owner/handler and have the time to help Poppy overcome some of her fear of strangers, we would love to talk to you.   She is a great dog with so much love to give.If you’re interested in adoption, please private message us or APPLY HERE if you haven’t yet: https://newleashdogrescue.com ##2050554##

Story
Meet Stella A 6-year-old beauty who’s been patiently waiting for over a year and a half to find her forever home. This sweet girl may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, her loving and loyal nature shines through. Stella takes a bit of time to trust new people, especially men, but with patience and understanding, she’ll quickly become your best friend. She just needs a little time to feel safe and secure, and once she does, she’ll shower you with affection. Stella is guessed to be a mix of Retriever, Terrier, and Mastiff, making her a unique and beautiful blend of breeds. She’s a great dog—calm, loving, and gentle—and would thrive in a home where she can feel comfortable and loved. Her perfect family would be one that’s patient, understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to fully blossom. This sweet girl deserves a second chance at the love and stability she’s been waiting for. Stella has so much love to give, and with the right family, she’ll quickly become a cherished companion. Could you be the one to offer her the forever home she’s been dreaming of? 📍Being fostered in Appleton, WI ⏳Waiting for 1.5 years for an application 😢 🏁My adoption fee is $350 and you can see more about me & the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable. **Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Tchoup, is a big old goofy pup. He absolutely adores toys, the more the better. Fluffy toys, balls, chewy bones, they are all magical to him. He calls all dogs friends and would love to have a sibling to run around with in his new home. He’s learning the ropes of living in a home, but he is settling in fast and enjoying his never-ending toy box. This kid would fit in with almost any type of family! Oh Tchoup, you big goofy hunk of love. You’ve been looking for your forever family for a long time and your foster Mom doesn’t understand why being that you are SO handsome? You have some quirks, but don’t we all? You need to get to know new doggy friends before you accept them into the folds of your family, but once in, you are fast friends and love to play. Dominate males maybe not so much, but in your current home you have both big & little male & female dog friends. You absolutely love your human people and are always close by wanting pets and cuddles. Are you a runner or avid hiker, this is your boy!! He loves being outside and would be a great partner. Tchoup absolutely loves his crate and willingly goes in and spends time there. There are instances where this overgrown goof ball like to “hog” all the toys and claim them all as his own (don’t we all). He is kindly reminded to share, and bones and toys removed. This kid is so smart and motivated to learn and would thrive in an obedience class. With his perfect Holstein colors, he looks like a mini cow and who doesn’t love a mini cow/dog?

Story
Hello! I’m Lily Pearl, and I’ve been searching for my forever home for over 2 years. I’m a loving, intelligent, 2.5-year-old, 60 lb Labrador mix with a gorgeous brindled coat of black, tan, and white. I have big, warm eyes and a playful, passionate personality that’s sure to win you over! I’m eager to bond and would love to shower you with affection—hugs, kisses, and cuddles are my thing. I take things slow and steady, but I’m always sweet and curious around new people. At home, I thrive on mental enrichment, whether it’s toys, balls, or interactive games. I’m crate-trained and enjoy resting there during the day, though I’m always ready to join you for some quality time. I’m a strong girl, so I’m best suited to an experienced dog owner who works from home and can provide gentle, positive reinforcement. I’ll thrive with someone who has patience and can offer me further training—I’m a quick learner and already know commands like sit, stay, touch, hug, and kiss! I’d love a yard to run, chase balls, and burn off some energy, and if you enjoy running or agility training, I’m your perfect match! I’m also comfortable using puppy pads indoors and love sleeping on the bed with my family, though I’m fine in my crate too. I’m up to date on my shots, microchipped, and ready for my forever family. Can I be your new best friend? My adoption fee is $350+ $100 refundable spay deposit, and you can see more about me & the rescue at https://lastpawrescue.org. My foster momma says my mix must be part Tigger ’cause I’m bouncy-bouncy-bouncy! I’m super happy and wiggle all the time and I like to jump off the front porch steps to play outside. I love playing with toys and I really love to play with other dogs. I was really shy when I can to Wisconsin, but now I know people give pets and treats and I really like that. I’m still working on liking a leash I don’t get why I need one when I’ll come back to you when you call me. I’m a real good girl about going into the kennel for bed, I don’t even need a treat of coax me in, but I get one anyway! I can’t wait to have a family all my own!
