Story
First of all, I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have in addition to what is posted here. Shadow's age and specific breed is unknown. Although he is a lab mix And believed to be about 15 weeks old . He currently belongs to my small grandson but they are living with my husband and I (grandparents) at this time. Grandson's ages are four and seven and they are petrified of Shadow due to his puppy biting and teething. Each one of our family members have been nipped by him, in play to him but still very hurtful to us. He goes by the door and is coming along nicely with potty training. He seems to be a smart puppy but with the small children being afraid of him and our lack of training ability and time and money to put into it, we feel the best option would be to find a loving home for him... One that has the time and patience for a very high energy puppy. My husband and I also have two 17-year-old dogs who do not appreciate Shadows playfulness.

Story
Meet Cookie! Cookie came to CCHS as a surrender earlier this January in hopes to get a new lease on life. Her owners made the difficult decision to surrender her as they were having to keep her separated from the other dog in the home for her safety after littermate syndrome had developed. Cookie is a 2-year-old Lab/Whippet mix weighing 33.5lbs currently. While she can be on the shy side to start, she is more than happy to melt into your side once she's warmed up to you! Cookie would benefit from an active home that has the patience to work through that touch of anxiety she has to allow her quirky personality to blossom! While we are not entirely sure what her exact breed makeup is, we can tell you she is 100% your new adventure buddy! With any rescue, training and socialization is incredibly important to the success of the dog. Apply for Cookie today!Approved applicants will be notified via email. Please check junk/spam folders for a response. The adoption fee is $250. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going. We are committed to helping the animals that enter our doors and finding each the best possible forever home. CCHS has been inspected and licensed by the Department of Animal Health - DATCP. Our license is #268235-DS.

If you are interested in adopting him, we will bring him into Hay Dude to complete the adoption. Dansby - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello...everyone!! My name is Dansby and I'm here looking for a home, a family, one to call my very own...again. You see, I had a loving home but my lil sister is allergic so with heavy hearts they are wanting me to have another home that will love me as much as they do! I am around 2 years and am very loving, affectionate and ready for playtime. My favorite thing is chasing my squeaky toy and romping around the back yard. I come in at about 45ish lbs. A pawsomely perfect medium size for those long walks, nature hikes and of course those belly rubs I absolutely adore getting. I have that innocent spirit that loves living life to the fullest, that energy that loves exploring the world around me and that playful demeanor that finds joy in everything!! Oh and guess what?! I'm both crate and house trained! We can get right to the fun stuff...right away!! I would love to have an active family that will include me in all their adventures. And I'm good with people both tall and small and other doggies! I would make a great playmate to either a 2 or 4 legged 'sibling' or a terrific sidekick as your one and only! I am so looking forward to being your BFF, your constant in this world, your heart beat at your feet!! If I sound like a perfect match for your home and lifestyle please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. It can be found at haydudeequine.org

Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Sistine - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hello hello all you fabulous people, let me introduce myself. My name is Sistine and I am a total sweetheart, a happy loving gal that is just wanting a home, a family...one to call my very own. And since you're reading this, I sure do hope you'll consider me to become a member of your family!! My name comes from my one picture where I'm touching paws with my foster sister, It's my doggy version of the ceiling painted by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. I'm the one on the left, the prettier one!! ;) Pretty cool, huh?!! My absolute favorite thing in the world is being around people. Seriously, I'm a total people-pup! I love going everywhere with my humans, especially to dog-friendly bars and restaurants. I'm super well-behaved on a leash and love to go running with my human. I also adore playing fetch and could chase a ball all day long. Bonus points: I'm totally unfazed by other dogs barking at me – I'm just too busy enjoying life to be bothered. So you get ALL this, a super sweet, loving and people oriented pup, along with me being already house and crate trained, WOW what a bonanza!! I would even be a perfect addition for a first time pet parent!! I'm around 5 years and 57lbs. I am that pawsomely perfect medium size for anything you've got up your sleeve (and you can always count on me to be game giving it a try). I love long walks, hiking nature trails, being your co-pilot on errand runs or just chillin on the couch. Oh oh, and getting belly rubs (one of my favoritest)!!! I'm a well balanced social gal that does fantastic with people, both tall and small and I do get along with other pups but would do best with a more mellow submissive dog. I'm not the fondest of if they run right up and get in my space right away, so I'll need a slower introduction at first. I have tons of love ready to be unleashed on my family and I'm big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet. My oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunningly gorgeous good looks, to make me a great family member, I just need the family...could it be with YOU?!! If we could be that perfect fit please stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. It can be found at haydudeequine.org
