Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 4 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her previous foster family had shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love!   Luna's biggest obstacle is that she is dog reactive, so she needs to be the only pet in a home with a fenced yard.   Luna is currently in boarding and working on training, but really needs a home to call her very own.   More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Luna can be anxious around younger kids.  So a home with kids 12+ is needed for this girl.  Luna is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Luna’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1817860##

Story
This cutie is Kira! She is a happy-go-lucky 1 year old girl who is labeled as a lab (+ probably pittie) mix. She weighs-in right around 45lbs, so is just the most perfect medium-sized pup! Kira (female) joined the New Leash family from North Carolina, and has been learning all about the ins & outs of home life since her arrival! Some of her favorite things include belly rubs and attention + spoils from her humans. She loves going for walks, but is also A-OK with a good ol’ lazy day @ home. Her foster mom works from home, and Kira makes the most perfect office mate. She doesn’t bark, curls up in a cuddly ball, and settles in for the day! Kira is crate-trained; she kennels-up easily when her humans leave, and sleeps in her crate throughout the night. She does very well with other dogs (of all ages, sizes, etc.), but does like to roughhouse/play…so can sometimes be a little “much” for senior and/or smaller dogs. She would do best with a pup-friend who can keep up with her + reciprocate her play! She does ok with the resident cat, but again can be a bit rough…so would do best in a home with dog-savvy kitties who are able to hold their own. Of note: she’s never mean, she just wants to play! Kira is completely potty-trained (win!) and has done an amazing job adapting to a schedule. Once settled into this routine, her accidents have been next to none. Another perk: she’s also familiar with a doggy-door! Kira knows how to sit, is working on “down,” is very food motivated (& gets SO excited for food/treat time! ), and loves toys. She is still a young gal, and is continuing to work on all of her good-girl manners! She tends to get excited and displays some herding behaviors (feet nipping) when her humans are going down the stairs. And while having improved greatly, does still occasionally jump up on people when excited. Because of this, we’d recommend kiddos in the home who are past the toddler stage! She can also pull on walks, and does much better walking with a harness vs a collar. While Kira continues to learn every day, we know she’d benefit immensely from some training classes! She is smart and catches onto things quickly, so will undoubtedly thrive once her fullest potential is unlocked! She is seriously an amazingly loving girl…with such a kind heart + zest for life! And we can’t wait to finally introduce her to the forever life she’s ever so deserving of. If she sounds like the one for you, please apply + reach out via private message. Just ask for Kira! APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!)  **Kira’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##2203462##

Story
LuLu came to our home because of a very abrupt change in her previous owner's life. LuLu is a very sweet, energetic dog who would do well with other energetic family members of any kind. She has done very well around my small elderly dog, by 2 cats, and my kids. She's an all around really great dog. I took her in temporarily so she wouldn't have to go back to the humane society where she originally came from, but I am unable to give her Her forever home. I am hoping to find a loving family that can provide that for her. She deserves it!

Story
Lou Lou came to DHS after her owner could no longer properly give her the life she deserved. Lou Lou's mom was a Amish rescue, lab mix that was taken in, and had puppies with an unknown father. Lou Lou had found a home as a puppy but returned back at 1 year old. Lou Lou is a super sweet girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people. When she is happy to see you she will smile! It is the cutest! Lou Lou has lived with other dogs, cats and children. Lou Lou was not taught many manners as a young girl, but with the right training and consistency she will make a loving smart companion! Lou Lou has lived both inside and outside she is not fully potty trained but is crate trained.

Story
Hi friends, I'm Stella and need your shares! I am 5years old, finally getting to put my hard life in the past and soak up the good life! Growing up wasnt easy, but I ended up in the shelter which was sad but safe, and now Im hanging out at an awesome foster family! They say just one final step to find my forever family that will understand and love me. I still worry about going back to my past life so need a patient dog loving home to guide me when I get scared. I get scared and verbal when meeting new people and dogs, but ease up once I know they are good. I really do love humans and dogs, I just need someone with experience that I can trust to shiw I'mjust a big softie, but i have yet to meet a cat so can't say If I would love them too or not. I am a champ at getting used to my foster mom and dad's routine - they both work during the day so I stay home and watch the house for them. I am super easy to get along with, I'm totally fine to sleep in or bright eyed and ready to go if it's a work day. No need to worry about leaving me, I easily entertain myself with toys! When we do hang out i love the snuggle or really like to go for walks, I listen well when we get to go walking. When I see other dogs I do get excited and can be vocal so someone to guide me for a nice meet helps because I really do enjoy a friend to play with! Older kids and humans are cool too, whoever can show me love! I am very sweet and love to be loved on. My foster mom calls me a wiggle butt I am microchipped and current on vaccinations and have a have a current health certificate. I am being Fostered in Appleton, WI. My adoption fee is only $200 and I am already spayed. I am available now. If you are looking for a laid back, sweet girl, please apply for me at lastpawrescue.org. It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Tchoup, is a big old goofy pup. He absolutely adores toys, the more the better. Fluffy toys, balls, chewy bones, they are all magical to him. He calls all dogs friends and would love to have a sibling to run around with in his new home. He’s learning the ropes of living in a home, but he is settling in fast and enjoying his never-ending toy box. This kid would fit in with almost any type of family! Oh Tchoup, you big goofy hunk of love. You’ve been looking for your forever family for a long time and your foster Mom doesn’t understand why being that you are SO handsome? You have some quirks, but don’t we all? You need to get to know new doggy friends before you accept them into the folds of your family, but once in, you are fast friends and love to play. Dominate males maybe not so much, but in your current home you have both big & little male & female dog friends. You absolutely love your human people and are always close by wanting pets and cuddles. Are you a runner or avid hiker, this is your boy!! He loves being outside and would be a great partner. Tchoup absolutely loves his crate and willingly goes in and spends time there. There are instances where this overgrown goof ball like to “hog” all the toys and claim them all as his own (don’t we all). He is kindly reminded to share, and bones and toys removed. This kid is so smart and motivated to learn and would thrive in an obedience class. With his perfect Holstein colors, he looks like a mini cow and who doesn’t love a mini cow/dog?

If you cancel or no show it’s non refundable. Hi my name is Raya! I'm small, sweet and adorable. Im a retriever mix but im very petite and wont be one of those huge and hyper retrievers you see a lot of. So if you are a labrador fan but want one on the smaller side, thats me. I am fully kennel trained and I actually love my kennel and will walk right in, lay down, and won't make a peep until you let me out. I'm doing well with house training if I'm kept on a schedule, but I'm quiet so if you aren't paying attention I might still have an accident. I'm great with the cats in my foster home and I love playing with my foster siblings and giving them kisses. I would do best in a house with a dog or 2 to play with as I can be a bit timid at first. I like to have a friend to show me the layout and teach me things aren't so scary. I am still a puppy and sometimes find myself chewing on things I shouldn't but do well with correction and being told no. I am a dog that does well at events with other dogs around and/or doggy daycare/dog park. So if you are looking for a dog you can take to those places, im your girl. I also recently discovered I love the pool we have in my foster home and very much am I water dog. That would make me great for beach days, boat days and camping if you're into that too. If you would like to meet the sweetest girl, apply to meet me.

It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet. Hi Everyone! I'm Fredo! Think of me as your little Alfredo sauce—rich in love and ready to warm your heart! If you're looking for a cuddle buddy who’s always ready for a Lady and the Tramp moment, I’m your guy. I am the most cuddly dog my foster parents have ever met. My foster mom’s eyes even water sometimes because of how loving I am. I can’t wait to shower you with kisses. Many many kisses! My foster family consistently calls me Fred, because it just matches my personality. I really am the best of both worlds: I can have the zooms, go for runs, and hike like crazy, or I can snuggle on the couch endlessly. I thrive on being a lap dog and adore snuggling up on the couch, and would crawl into your skin if given the chance. I take my sleeping very seriously and will even lull you to sleep with quiet snores. I love playtime and have played well with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I get along perfectly with everyone, including cats who are good at ignoring my curious sniffs. I have a few scars that tell my story, but they only add to my charm. I promise you’ll find I’m the sweetest companion you could ask for! I keep my kennel clean and enjoy going on walks, making me a great addition to any home. Of the 3 dogs at my foster home, I am the only one that can be trusted off leash in the yard, as I’d never want to wander too far from my people! I love to play with everyone I meet and have so much love to share. I can’t wait to bring joy, love, and plenty of snuggles to my forever family! Let’s create beautiful memories together! Yours truly, Fredo
