Story
Life goals?? To have someone look at you the way Luna looks at a tennis ball or a stick… Lovable miss-Luna is as ready as ever to land herself a forever family of her own, and one that’s willing to play endless fetch would be her DREAM! Luna (female) is a 4 year old silver lab who joined the New Leash family in pretty poor physical condition due to some negligence + thyroid levels that cause hair loss & needed some medication/maintenance. Fast-forward to today…Luna is doing pretty incredible! Her previous foster family had shown her the unconditional love she’s never known, her fur is filling in nicely, and she is ready for a forever kind of love!   Luna's biggest obstacle is that she is dog reactive, so she needs to be the only pet in a home with a fenced yard.   Luna is currently in boarding and working on training, but really needs a home to call her very own.   More about Luna:  50lbs 100% potty-trained  crate-trained  a well-mannered girl who is a good listener!   LOVES car rides (copilot, anyone? )  will show off her tricks for some yummy treats!  affectionate & loving (kisses, cuddles, belly rubs…you name it! )  would play fetch all day, every day if you’d let her!   continuing to work on her leash etiquette (which she previously had no concept of), and is improving every single day!  ADORES her people! More about Luna’s home requirements:  A fenced-in yard would be her dream, because: 1. alllllll the fetch and 2. roaming + sniffing to her heart’s content!  Being the only dog would be ideal. Luna is your typical “covid dog,” so the socialization skills she should’ve received as a puppy are nonexistent. Her initial reaction is to become quite anxious around new dogs…so if she’s not the only dog in the home, she’d require a low-key, non-reactive 4-legged friend. She would also need to do several meet & greets with him/her prior to adoption! She continues to learn “how to dog” every single day. Luna can be anxious around younger kids.  So a home with kids 12+ is needed for this girl.  Luna is eligible for our foster-to-adopt program, so please reach out if you think she possibly sounds like a good fit for you. APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com **Luna’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. ##1817860##

Story
Morrison can’t believe 7 of his brothers and sisters have found adoptive homes but he hasn’t!  Morrison is one of boys from Mama Jenny’s litter. Mama is thought to be a lab mix (but this is just a best guess). They were born 9/29 so are just 7 weeks old!  He will be available to go home after 11/26. He is currently about 10 lbs so we expect him to be a medium - large dog (but again this is just a guess we just know he won’t be small ). Morrison is a sweet playful boy who is one of the quieter ones in the bunch. He LOVES food and is already eating dry kibble. He enjoys playing (and pottying) outside and isn’t letting the dropping temps scare him off.  As all young pups do he will require a consistent routine with potty training. He’ll also benefit from socializing, exercising and training.  Morrison is really hoping he doesn’t get left behind and can find a home of his very own too!  Please private message us if you are interested in adopting Morrison or you can APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com If he doesn’t find an adoptive home by 11/26 he will be looking for a new foster home. ##2222306##

Story
LuLu came to our home because of a very abrupt change in her previous owner's life. LuLu is a very sweet, energetic dog who would do well with other energetic family members of any kind. She has done very well around my small elderly dog, by 2 cats, and my kids. She's an all around really great dog. I took her in temporarily so she wouldn't have to go back to the humane society where she originally came from, but I am unable to give her Her forever home. I am hoping to find a loving family that can provide that for her. She deserves it!

Story
Lou Lou came to DHS after her owner could no longer properly give her the life she deserved. Lou Lou's mom was a Amish rescue, lab mix that was taken in, and had puppies with an unknown father. Lou Lou had found a home as a puppy but returned back at 1 year old. Lou Lou is a super sweet girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people. When she is happy to see you she will smile! It is the cutest! Lou Lou has lived with other dogs, cats and children. Lou Lou was not taught many manners as a young girl, but with the right training and consistency she will make a loving smart companion! Lou Lou has lived both inside and outside she is not fully potty trained but is crate trained.

Story
Hi friends, I'm Stella and need your shares! I am 5years old, finally getting to put my hard life in the past and soak up the good life! Growing up wasnt easy, but I ended up in the shelter which was sad but safe, and now Im hanging out at an awesome foster family! They say just one final step to find my forever family that will understand and love me. I still worry about going back to my past life so need a patient dog loving home to guide me when I get scared. I get scared and verbal when meeting new people and dogs, but ease up once I know they are good. I really do love humans and dogs, I just need someone with experience that I can trust to shiw I'mjust a big softie, but i have yet to meet a cat so can't say If I would love them too or not. I am a champ at getting used to my foster mom and dad's routine - they both work during the day so I stay home and watch the house for them. I am super easy to get along with, I'm totally fine to sleep in or bright eyed and ready to go if it's a work day. No need to worry about leaving me, I easily entertain myself with toys! When we do hang out i love the snuggle or really like to go for walks, I listen well when we get to go walking. When I see other dogs I do get excited and can be vocal so someone to guide me for a nice meet helps because I really do enjoy a friend to play with! Older kids and humans are cool too, whoever can show me love! I am very sweet and love to be loved on. My foster mom calls me a wiggle butt I am microchipped and current on vaccinations and have a have a current health certificate. I am being Fostered in Appleton, WI. My adoption fee is only $200 and I am already spayed. I am available now. If you are looking for a laid back, sweet girl, please apply for me at lastpawrescue.org.
