Story
·Intake Reason: Transferred to WCHS from a shelter in Texas.-Weight: 7 lbs. Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: UnknownPuppies are magnificent! I am cute, rambunctious, lively and fun. I have so much to learn, discover and explore - just a tiny sponge who is ready to absorb everything you have to teach me and show me. I am counting on you to help me safely navigate the world and experience new things each day to allow me to grow into a confident young dog. That isn’t as exotic and daunting a task as it might sound. Each day I just need to be introduced to one new thing like the sound of a vacuum, a blender or a door bell, walking up and down a step, a ride in a car, hearing a motorcycle or a truck, going somewhere to see new people, even maneuvering a fallen log on a walk. You get the idea, so many things that seem common to you are completely new to me. Speaking of growing, I may be tiny now but I do plan on getting bigger so I would love to take obedience classes to learn proper manners and social skills. I also know I have to practice something called house-training so I know proper potty behavior. A routine and lots of yummy treats and praise will go a long way to helping me master house-training when I potty outside. Puppies and dogs need love, exercise, mental stimulation and consistency to be healthy, happy and confident. I am typically very open to all sorts of housemates; I can be a bit mischievous and may find any other critter as a potential playmate so they will need to understand that about me. I often explore the world with my mouth and while I am teething I like to chew; my little puppy teeth are very sharp so if I am around children we should always be supervised. It is important that children learn about respecting me, too, and treat me gently because I am fragile. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility, a lot of work, and it may interrupt your sleep cycle for a bit, but a courteous and well-behaved dog is certainly worth the investment and I promise to be loyal, love you unconditionally and be a companion forever. I just know I will bring joy and laughter into your home and cannot wait to meet you. Let the adventures begin!#1

Story
Meet Diamond! This little sweetie was rescued from an overcrowded TX shelter and brought to Wisconsin in hopes of finding a better life. Diamond is a 6 month old puppy who weighs about 18 lbs. Diamond is a sweet, friendly, energetic girl who loves everyone she meets. She would love to become part of an active family. She enjoys playing with her stuffies and other toys and keeps herself entertained with them. After a good walk and some throwing her toys around for a while, she’s ready to snuggle in for a cozy nap with her people. Diamond does show some resource guarding of her toys and other valuables. Her foster mom is helping her to learn that these things will always be available so she doesn’t have to worry. Diamond is a typical puppy and finds it hard to contain her excitement sometimes. So it’s best if any children in her new family be over 10. Diamond sleeps well in her crate. She’s working hard on potty training and her puppy manners and is doing well. Diamond is a puppy and does need continued work on her manners. Her new family should be committed to taking the time and having the patience to teach Diamond to be the best girl she can be. Diamond is up to date on vaccines, flea/tick and heart worm prevention, is microchipped and spayed. If you are interested in little Diamond, please complete the application below. https://airtable.com/shrEp4oM8RJh0oUDp ***Please note*** Applications are processed within 24-48 hours, depending on how quickly we are able to contact your references. Please be prepared to schedule a meet and greet within 48 hours after your application has been processed. We cannot hold a puppy for you for more than 48 hours. Thank you for your understanding.

Story
He's a very chill laid back dog. He's an absolute sweetheart. He smiles. At times he will have conversations with you. Once he gets attached he will follow you everywhere. He doesn't like baths and he needs one. He's very shy and timid. I got him when he was a year and half and he will be 7 Feb 15th. He was in pretty rough shape when I got so He's come along way and I'm so proud of how far he's come. He's not really a toy kind of guy...he loves being outside. He will let you know when he needs to use the bathroom.

Story
Vanilla is a very fun and spunky guy. He loves to play and has lots of energy. He is about a year old, so lots of puppy energy so he would thrive with a large yard. He does have some puppy behaviors such as jumping. He plays at daycare occasionally with his puppy friends. At the end of the day he loves to cuddle and settle down with a bone to chew.
