Story
Meet Chip! Are you ready to meet a senior superstar who’s still got plenty of pep in his step? Say hello to Chip, a 13-year-old bundle of charm, smarts, and tennis-ball obsession! Chip is house-trained, has excellent manners, and does well when left alone. He’s also a pro on a leash and knows his commands like a seasoned gentleman. Whether he’s chilling in his crate or relaxing in the house, Chip keeps his space tidy and his vibes low-key. While he’s a bit selective about other animals, he has shown to be relaxed around cats. Chip’s heart has grown big enough to welcome new human friends—he’s come a long way in learning to trust strangers and even enjoys interactions with them now! Tennis balls are his absolute favorite toy (a classic choice for a refined fellow like him), and he’ll happily fetch or chew the day away. At the sanctuary, Chip has been well-loved and happy, but as they say, “there’s no place like home.” He’s looking for a calm, low-traffic environment where he can be the only pet, ideally with no young kids. Chip thrives in a peaceful setting where he can soak up love and companionship. Though he had a mistrust of strangers as a younger pup, Chip has worked hard to overcome it and has made amazing progress. Like any dog, he’ll need a home that understands his boundaries and ensures his comfort and safety. Chip may be 13, but he’s still active, playful, and oh-so-adorable. He deserves a place to call his very own—a quiet home filled with love, tennis balls, and all the belly rubs he can handle. Could you be the one to give Chip his happily-ever-after? 🐾❤️

He’s a little shy about being picked up at first, but once he’s in your arms, he relaxes and soaks up all the love. Story
Meet Tiga! This sweet and playful pup is ready to steal your heart! Tiga does well in his crate, isn’t destructive, and is making great progress with leash training. He currently lives with kids aged 12 and 10 and has even spent time with toddlers (1 and 3 years old). Tiga loves playing with kids, giving kisses, and being their cuddle buddy—though sometimes he gets a little too excited and needs a quick timeout. When it’s time to wind down, Tiga’s all about snuggles, especially during naps or quiet evenings. He’s shy around strangers at first but warms up once he feels comfortable. Tiga adores all toys, has boundless energy, and is a tennis ball fetch champ! His constantly wagging tail says it all—he’s always thrilled to see you. With his playful, curious personality, Tiga is a belly-rub enthusiast who’s extra sweet when he’s sleepy. He would thrive in an active home with plenty of exercise and would do wonderfully with kids, especially as he matures. Potty training? He’s working hard on it! Tiga also sleeps soundly in his crate overnight like a champ. Ready to bring Tiga into your home and heart?

Story
Hot Wheels SEEKS HIS FOREVER FAMILY who is committed to giving him nothing but happy days for the rest of his life. For a low adoption fee, you can bring home this $15,000 family member. A video of “Wheels” was shared showing him dragging his back end. The Right to Live Rescue took him into rescue. He was covered in fleas and had severe dragging wounds. He had back surgery with a 50/50 chance of success. Then, he had one of his broken back legs reset and plated. He started hydrotherapy and seemed to be doing well. Sadly, he developed a flesh-eating bacteria on his back legs causing one to be removed. He stayed at the Vet’s office for about 5-6 weeks while they worked to clear him of the infection and open another gaping wound in his remaining and plated rear leg. He has no idea he is different than the other dogs. He loves to go on walks in his wheelchair. He does zoomies around the yard and chases the others and even plays tug-of-war with a 112 pound lab/pittie/mutt foster brother. He loves to have his ears rubbed since he cannot scratch them himself. He loves to scoot through his splash pad on hot days and wade in his inflatable pool. He turns in circles like a top when he gets excited which is when he is getting fed or sees you come home. He can pee and poop on his own but he sometimes does that in his sleep or when he’s excited. He dribbles a bit. He has diapers and belly bands but they sometimes slide off because he does not have both legs. He is willing to travel with his wheelchair, his diapers, his belly bands, his toys, his elevated feeding stand and slow feed bowl (that does not really slow him down). Despite everything he’s been through, he is the happiest boy in the world. He would love to sit on a dog bed and chew a nylabone and watch to make sure you are looking at him. He has passed cats on the porch or street and not reacted to them. He may need a short introduction to any new fur siblings. He seems to know who he can pick on and who he needs to defer to. He will come with this cute gingerbread costume just in time for Christmas. https://www.facebook.com/reel/280549138140602 *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
From Bonnies Foster: She is an 11-12 month old, FIXED, black lab mix (not sure of the mix) and she is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She thinks she's a lap dog, even though she's around 60 pounds . Every morning when I leave for work, she follows my car, running and jumping and just having a good time. When I get home from work, she runs out to meet me and is waiting outside of my car door in pure joy. When I step out, she sits down and leans against my legs, like her very own version of a hug. She loves running around and playing fetch, and is even starting to learn how to catch a frisbee! She absolutely adores running around with my other dogs and is so funny and playful. As she is still a pup, she needs a forever home that has someone that can dedicate time to her training and someone who is able to put in the time and dedication to her that she so truly deserves. Please help me find sweet Bonnie a forever home. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. I was brought in with my gal pal BooBoo and though we would love to be adopted together - it isn't necessary as I love all dogs. I am a typical lab in many ways; super sweet, love people, love treats and just want to be your best friend. I would love an active family cos us labs like to have fun! Story
Hi, I’m Koda and I’m looking for my special furever family. I’m a 3 year old lab mix, around 45lbs. My foster mama thinks that I’m very sweet, shy, and loving. I love being with my four legged friends – either dogs of all sizes or cats! That’s right, you can call me your little love bug and I will follow you around for love pats and belly scratches. I even have a trick – yup I’m a magician - throw a dog biscuit near me it will disappear! I’m smart too – I know some commands like "House" to go to Mandalay's kennel to eat, my name and I even come when I’m called! Ok well, mostly I come LOL. I’m still working on the leash bit – I get a bit too excited and a whole bunch anxious so … sometimes I forget all my manners. It probably is better that I go to a family that has older kids (and a little calmer) and I would love to have some four legged friends to play with. Well, that’s me … do you have room for a little love bug in your family? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi! My name is Scottie, but I am not a Scottie dog, I am not short with long wavy black hair, I am tall with straight blonde hair. So perhaps a better name for me would be Labbie? But I am used to Scottie as a name so we can stick with it. Plus you can make some really cool spin-offs, such as Scottster, Scottie Biscotti, Scottie Spaghetti MeatBall Yoyo, or whatever, be creative. I am an energetic neutered male, 3 year old, Labrador Retriever, with beach blonde hair and the athletic build to make any gidget fall head over heels. I am strong, so you will need a good leash holding arm for all those walks you will take me on. I can’t wait to get excited as I watch you put your tenny shoes on! I have had a couple of homes as I was once adopted from the city shelter and then abandoned on the streets to take cover from rain at a gas station and once again homeless and back to a foster home. Whew. I am looking for an active family with a gentle yet strong leader to help guide me through life and maybe teach me some leash manners and keep me as a permanent family member. I hope to learn more words from you, maybe heel, stay, roll over. I will also teach you a word. Groke, a verb, an old Scots term meaning to look at somebody while they’re eating in the hope that they’ll give you some of their food. Which brings me to my next point. As any true and classic Labrador Retriever I adore both toys and treats. But if I had to choose between the two, which do you think I would pick? Yep. FOOD! Please ask my Foster Mom for more details about me. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Duke is a 2 year old Lab mix, around 45 lbs. Duke is a sweetheart who gets along with his fellow foster fur babies. He is active and loves to play with his buddies and toys.
