Story
Tonks is a 6.5 year old Black lab mix who has been with me since she was 4 months old. She is a timid but very sweet dog. She has always had anxiety and recently began taking medication for that due to her behavior around our new baby (growling). That behavior has increased now that our son is moving around independently. For that reason, we'd say that Tonks should not go to a home where there are young kids. Tonks previously lived with cats and loved them, although she was sometimes a little protective of her things, but never did more than grumble at them. She currently lives with another dog and they love playing together, but Tonks still has some poor behaviors when it comes to sharing. She has never been aggressive (she's all growl, no bite), but her behavior can incite other pets. She can live with other pets, but may do best as a sole pet in a home. We are sad to rehome Tonks, but hope to find her a quieter, calmer home where she can be happier. Happy to answer questions!

Story
Best family dog! You can always change my name! Loves humans, dogs and cats. Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com I would like a family with a house with yard, kids (or no children) and a friendly dog friend that can be my pal. July is a male 7 yr old 55 lb Lab mix. He loves playing with other dogs or chilling with his human. He is an energetic, very affectionate lad that is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He is an indoor dog that will enjoy daily walks/hikes. His owners dumped him from their vehicle in hill country and he was seen chasing after vehicle. He is okay hanging out with his country foster home and patiently waiting for his home which is hopefully soon as current ranch dogs are an establisted working pack (its their breeds) and are not appreciative of another canine on the property. No apartments. L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 500,000 homeless pets. Story
Sable is being fostered in Tennessee. Sable is a wonderful dog whose only goal in life is to cuddle you and be loved. Sable is a confident dog who gets along with cats and every single dog he has met. Nothing phases Sable, he loves to go on adventures, rides great in the car and is a perfect gentleman on a leash. Sable will do well in a quiet or hectic household, he doesn't startle easily and overcomes new challenges quickly. He uses a doggy door, kennels well and runs the house freely without worry. Sable does have some separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone...other animals in the house are a comfort but he really wants humans nearby. He is not destructive but does search for you if you leave. He has puppy energy but a walk or another dog to play with will make him content and he will be a couch potato with you once you get energy off him. Great with kids of all ages and will make an amazing family dog. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Meet Riley! This sweet and sassy 3-year-old pup is looking for a loving forever home. She is a playful and affectionate companion who loves to eat, play with squeak toys, and have a good game of tug-of-war. Riley is also crate-trained, which makes house training and travel a breeze. She's also good with other dogs and enjoys playing with them! While Riley has a big personality, she also has a sensitive side. She is currently being successfully managed with medication for idiopathic epilepsy, which requires twice-daily administration. This is easily done with a pill pocket or mixed in with food. She is doing wonderfully on this medication. This little lady has a secret passion for paper products – think of it as her own personal shredding service! But fear not, she's easily convinced to trade paper for pets and play. Riley is looking for a family who can provide her with: Lots of love and attention A safe and comfortable home Consistent medication administration (twice daily) Daily exercise and playtime If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion with a touch of sass, Riley might be the perfect addition to your family!  ##2178031##

Story
Lily is a sweet 6-year-old German Shorthair Pointer mix who has found herself at a shelter after the death of her owner. She loves water, fetch, and squeaky toys. Lily is a strong girl with plenty of energy. She would make a great running partner once she has a little help with her leash manners. This girl is so athletic that she has been known to jump some fences. We recommend a 5-6 foot fence if your yard is fenced in. WGSPR was told she had some resource guarding with food/toys/space around other dogs. We sent her to a trainer to work on her basic obedience and to assess her for resource guarding with other dogs.  The trainer has not seen any resource guarding with people or dogs. She has been very neutral with other dogs.  The trainers have had no issues taking toys from her.   Lily has a high prey drive because that is what her breed is known for, and she would love to put it to good use and hunt with you. Lily is still with the trainer and any approved adopter will go meet her at the trainer's facility.  The trainer will assist in picking a family for Lily that meets her needs. This girl is ready to find her new forever family. ##2215847##

Story
Myra is a fun loving, snuggler looking for a family willing to let her hangout with you on furniture. She loves to snuggle and lay right next to you. She does have experience withother dogs in the home and does fine. She also has been carried around for weeks by young children in her foster home. She has been going back and forth to work with her foster mom due to a dog in the home needing a break from the puppies. So Myra has been going to a therapy environment 3-4days per week for 8-10 hours a day. In this environment she has learned how to help comfort humans during difficult emotions. She also has been learning how to socialize witha number of people of a variety of age groups. She would be good in this environment if needed but she is not formally trained as an emotional support animal. During thisenvironment she barked literally once and was told not to bark. Since then, she does not bark or whine in this environment. She is very quiet and calm as well due to this environment. While in this work environment she did get exposed to a number of loud noises due to the emergency services being located nearby. She was initially scared of the sounds but thenbecame accustomed to them. Myra is super eager to learn and please, and she’s treat-motivated (but not food motivated as much), so the training we’ve been doing, like sitting and waiting for food and recall, hasbeen going great! She takes the treats nicely from adults and children. She likes to lay down and slowly eat her food like a lady. She will eat around fingers, very gently. Myra seems really smart. She knows her name, recall is in progress. She is learning how to behave based on cues in the environment like other dogs or sitting when she doesn't knowexactly what we are asking of her but she knows we have a treat in hand. She knows the words leave it when she picks something up she isn't supposed to. When greeting newpeople she walks right up and licks their hand but doesn't jump often and will drop down immediately. She also doesn't pull on the leash and seems to know when she is pulling veryquickly. She is hesitant on walks by herself but is learning quickly as she learns the environment. She just loves to play with other dogs. She really enjoys rough housing with the dogs that are three times her size and her brother. Myra likes playing ball but is working on retrievingthe ball. She also enjoys hunting/tracking smells on the ground. She enjoys working her nose with her snuffle mat. She has ridden in a car kennel a lot. She did get her toe nail caught in one of the doors while being transferred which makes her at times hesitant to get into the kennel but once you pickher up and put her in the kennel she is quiet. She is crate trained and with a blanket on the top of the kennel means quiet time. She won’t bark unless she can see you or at night if she needs to poop or you slept past her feeding time in the morning. She sleeps through the night unless she has to poop. Her current bedtime is from 9pm-5am. She then wakes up and eats her first meal at 5am and second at 5pm. She does not like going to the bathroom by herself at night, during the day she doesn’t mind. She is also scared of flights of stairs going down. She does know how to do 2-3 stairs inand out of a building. Myra is really quite social.  She just needs time to warm up to you.  She loves to stay close to her people. Myra along with her mom and 4 littermates were found as strays and taken to a humane society prior to coming into WGSPR.  NOTE: We will not adopt Milton and Myra to the same household.  ##2274575##
