Story
Junior is a handsome 9-month-old pup that’s full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. He’s an active, adventurous dog who loves staying busy and exploring his surroundings. He has completed professional training and has a great foundation in basic manners and listening skills. He’s eager to keep learning and does best with consistency and positive reinforcement. Because of his energy level, he’s looking for an active home—someone who enjoys regular exercise, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with their dog. He would thrive with an adopter who can provide both physical activity and mental stimulation. Rehoming him has been a very difficult decision. Due to work demands, we’re no longer able to give him the time and engagement he needs to truly thrive. Our goal is to find him a loving, committed home where he can get the attention, structure, and activity he deserves.

Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:I'm a lovebug looking for the perfect place to spend my golden years.Give me treats and pets and you will be my new favorite person.I may look like a big boy, but I'll do my best to convince you I'm a lap dog!My friends call me a "couch potato" because my favorite thing to do is laze around the house.I would much prefer a leisurely sniffari walk than joining you for anything fast paced.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.High Energy: I can become easily frustrated if my energy and exercise needs are not met. I will need positive outlets and a calm environment to help me flourish.I have chronic skin issues which will require long term management. It can be caused by different factors such as fleas, food or environmental factors.I have chronic ear infections which will require long term management.I have been diagnosed with chronic dry eye (KCS), which will require long-term medical management.I am part of the Diamond in the Ruff program, which you can learn more about here.I'm in a foster home right now, but I'm still available for adoption! Click the Meet Me button and complete the questionnaire to schedule a meet and greet appointment. The type of home I'm looking for:I would prefer to be the only dog in the home.I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted. While I may be okay with the occasional canine friend, I'll probably never be a dog park kind of dog.I need a home without cats or other small animals. I need to go to a home without small children. It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 81 Age: 8yrs 6mths 2wks

What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team at OHS and I'm looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.I love to learn! You can use my favorite toys or treats as positive reinforcement and to teach me new things.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment. My playful antics and endless affection are sure to make you smile and always brighten your day!I am still learning how to walk on leash, especially in new environments that can be overwhelming. I need verbal encouragement, patience and of course treats from you to help me!I had so much fun meeting other dogs here in the shelter. My friends at OHS think I would be great at making new dog friends! The type of home I'm looking for:I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I may do best in a home where there is another dog to help boost my confidence & for me to play with!I will need to meet any canine companions prior to getting adopted.Loud noises and unpredictable movements can make me uncomfortable, I would do best in a home with calm, older children. It could be with you! What my friends at OHS say about me:As an older lady, I am looking for a home to live out my golden years soaking up all the love I can get.Don't pass me up because of my age! Provide me with a stroll around the block, and a comfy bed and I will be the perfect companion. You know I deserve it!Treats and time are the way to my heart! Give me some of each and as I get more comfortable my true personality will shine.New things are a little scary to me, but I all I need is time and someone to show me it's okay.My hobbies include casual strolls through the park to sniff the flowers, cuddling on the couch for movies and enjoying plenty of snacks.Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.I can be picky about my canine companions. Slow introductions and having my own space will be important for me to adjust to a home with resident dogs.I'm in a foster home right now, but I'm still available for adoption!
