Story
Honey is pure sweetness! This precious 1-year-old Lab mix has love just oozing out of her. There`s nothing Honey loves more than your company (except maybe toys). Whether it`s getting belly rubs, booty scritches, or playing with toys, she`s happy as can be. Honey does well with other dogs but needs a home with no cats, chickens, or other small animals. She can be protective of her toys and bed, so she will likely do best with just adults. Honey is not a fit for an apartment or condo and would appreciate living in a quiet neighborhood. If you`re ready to welcome home this sweetheart, come meet her today!#playful #nocats #nosmallanimals #dogcompatible #cuddler

Story
If you`re looking for a hiking, walking, or jogging partner, Giselle may fit the bill! This spunky 1-year-old lab mix is eager to find an active family that can give her lots of daily exercise, enrichment, and socialization. Giselle is a little unsure of things at first and is looking for adopters who can help build her confidence through positive experiences. Once she`s feeling comfortable, she enjoys belly rubs, learning new tricks, and playing with toys. Giselle LOVES toys! Giselle is looking to be the only pet in her new home and have all the love and attention for herself! She will likely do best in a dog experienced home with teens and adults and will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard for extra exercise. Story
Meet Hunter, this sweet, spirited, medium sized terrier/blue heeler pup is patiently waiting for his forever home so he can spoil his humans with all the love he has to share! Hunter is currently in Texas, but here's the exciting part – he's ready to embark on a journey to your home sweet home, and it'll only cost you a $230 transport fee. Trust us; he's worth every mile!Hunter is more than just a sweet face; he's also a quick learner. His foster family has been putting in the work, and he's been acing his obedience training. In his foster home, he's been a real champ, getting along wonderfully with non-dominant dogs and playful puppies. When it comes to humans and other animals, Hunter prefers a gradual approach so slow introductions are his preference to ensure he forms lasting bonds. He loves children! During an adoption event he was all tail wags when the kids came up for pets.Hunter has mastered the art of walking on a leash and being house-trained. Walkies are his absolute favorite thing! So if you are an avid walker/hiker this is your dog!! He's also a pro at basic commands like sit, wait, shake, down, and he's getting the hang of stay too.But what Hunter truly excels at is spreading love. He's a cuddle enthusiast who will happily crawl into your lap, showering you with affectionate kisses. So, here's the deal: Hunter is ready and willing to travel for his forever home If you believe you can provide this sweetheart with the loving and active life he deserves, don't hesitate. Apply today, and let's make Hunter's journey to your heart and home a reality! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Animal Profile: Cody is an estimated 15-month-old, 50 lb neutered male lab mix (possibly with Catahoula) from Roswell New Mexico. He and his two litter mates were taken into the shelter as young pups and have been growing up in kennel-based foster care, including socialization with other dogs of all sizes and people. Unfortunately, despite their friendly temperaments, the three large-breed black dogs were not getting any adoption interest, so Cody has joined Dog Gone Seattle to find his forever home. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care. Foster Update: Cody has really blossomed in foster care! He is great with other dogs -- no issues at all -- and will need another balanced dog or two in his forever home to help continue to build his confidence. He plays all day with our resident dog and loves to follow her around! He is great with his people in the home but still nervous of new people and needs time to warm up. Cody really enjoys playing with toys, swimming, hiking, and going on walks; he does best in familiar environments and with routine. He rides well in the car, is good in the crate both day and night now, and sleeps comfortably in the crate through the night. Cody would benefit an owner who has experience with initially shy dogs and can provide him confident leadership; as mentioned he will also need a resident dog(s) in the home. He has not been tested with cats but can be upon request from a qualified adopter.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was taken into rescue as a puppy and transferred to Dog Gone Seattle rescue arriving to foster care on Feb 23, 2024 and will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. November 6, 2024, 5:36 pm
