Story
Diesel is a 4 yr old chocolate lab Weimaraner mix. He's a loyal dog and is very lovable but recently has got to be aggressive towards our 2 year old. With that being said he would thrive in a home with no children. He also has anxiety when being left alone and rips out his hair. With our busy schedules we aren't home enough for him. He needs someone who can give him more attention.

Story
Willow is an absolutely wonderful dog. My kids are grown, and one is about to graduate, and my husband and I work full-time. She is just too sweet, and we want her to get another loving home. She LOVES fetch, she loves kids, she loves other pets, and loves almost every other thing. She is just an all around great dog who needs more time spent with her. She has 2 kitty friends, so if you have other pets/cats, that's a plus. She's definitely a lover. I am more than happy to post/share pictures of her. I am on my laptop, and couldn't upload more photos, but would be happy to do so upon request. Thank you.

Story
Meet Lewis,Lewis is a 6-year-old Lab mix who proves that age is just a number! While he may have a little gray on his muzzle, this handsome guy still has plenty of energy and a playful spirit. One of his absolute favorite things in the world is his beloved Jolly Ball—he could happily spend hours chasing, carrying, and showing it off.On leash, Lewis is a strong boy and will need a confident handler who can manage his enthusiasm—especially since he has a tendency to chase moving things like cats and even cars. He’ll benefit from a large fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs.Lewis also has a habit of mounting, which means he’s not a good fit for homes with other pets or small children. Because of this, he’s best suited for an experienced, adult-only home that can provide clear boundaries and consistency.Despite these challenges, Lewis is a fun-loving, loyal companion who will thrive with the right person. With adults, Lewis is loving, affectionate, and a joy to have around. If you have the space, experience, and patience to guide him, he’ll reward you with plenty of playtime, personality, and devotion.&#226&#156&#133 Neutered&#226&#156&#133 Vaccinated&#226&#156&#133 Microchipped&#226&#156&#133 Treated for fleas and worms Interested in meeting Lewis? Please email: adoption@columbiahumane.org for an application.Adoption Fee: Sponsored by Mister GooseFor more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 18, 2026, 6:55 am

Story
THIS IS A COURTESY POST! PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP AT THE SHELTER TO MEET HIM. HE IS NOT AT THE SHELTER   MEET Apollo  also responds to Paul. How cuuute.    Apollo is a good young boy.  His only fault is his energy... his family sort of ended up with him. They feel bad. But they have realized he deserves more than they can give. He is destructive in home when not properly excercised, and hes a jumper, they have a kid and hes too much with the kid. They have tried to work with him, but have realized that they are not the right fit. All of this is fixable and trainable with the right person or family. Hes just young and needs consistency and training    Here's what they answered to my questions:    "Apollo nickname Paul (he responds to both)  Kind of Leash Trained (we dont walk him as much as he needs) Crate Trained No allergies that we know of Hes ok in the car, sometimes throws up He is ok alone in a crate if nothing is around him but he did eat the rug/plastic at the bottom of the crate Recall only when said a couple times but not in a open space maybe like a backyard No idea about cats or dogs ( except his sibling dog he is fine with) We got him from one of my husband friends, he is half lab half heeler   And no rehoming fee we just want him to go to a really good home."    He is 1.5 yrs old. Black Lab/ Heeler. Neutered. And UTD on shots.   March 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
It is with heavy hearts that we have had to make the call to rehome this girl. Her name is Angel. She is amazing with our kids aging from toddler to teen. We use a wireless fence system at our home. While I do believe she was "protecting" our kids the neighbors small dog has now twice gotten close to our home. Angel broke her boundary and went after the little dog. First time nothing happened this time she left a mark. I honestly do not feel she is a bad dog. I think she was trying to keep her kids safe. I'm hopefull someone with a fenced yard would love an additional to their home.
