Story
This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If you're looking for a snuggle buddy, Oakley is your girl! At just 11 months old and 30 pounds of pure sweetness, this short legged Lab / Staffordshire Terrier mix has medium energy but a heart full of love. Her favorite thing? Belly rubs! Oakley will gladly lay in your lap, on her back, for hours of rubs and attention. Oakley has some adorable quirks, too! She’ll sit on her behind with her paws in the air when she wants your attention, and after she finishes eating, she brings you her bowl as if to say, "More, please!" She’s well on her way to being house-trained and is totally crate-trained, where she behaves like a champ. Oakley knows how to sit and has a great recall, making training a breeze. She’s a submissive, gentle soul who gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. This cuddle queen would thrive in a home where she can be close to her humans, soaking up all the love and attention. Whether you have another dog or she’s your one and only, Oakley is happiest when she’s with her people. If you're ready for some serious snuggle sessions, please apply today to adopt Oakley! Meet this dog at Petco on Saturday, Nov 16th from 1-4 pm CST at Petco, 377 W. Jackson St #11 Cookeville, TN 38501.   Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Story
GOLDEN BEAUTY FOR ADOPTION! Maddie is a 5 year old, mixed breed dog who weighs 52 pounds. She found herself in a rural shelter with more dogs than adopters so she came to us so we can help her find the home she deserves! Maddie is full of energy and loves to romp and play with the other dogs in her foster home. She loves people and seems charmed by the children at adoption events! Maddie is crate trained and very likely house trained. She even knows some basic commands such as sit, wait and come! What a good girl! We foresee Maddie being your new hiking companion, a dog park party girl, and your new best friend. She has so much potential and we are excited to help her start the search for her forEVER family! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
bio pending: notes: Seems 1 yo or younger. Medium energy. Loves a stuffy toy, but not much of a fetcher. When in play enclosure, never ran, just wandered around. Follows you everywhere, if if at a distance. Loves people. Likely good with kids. Knows to sit. Inclined to think he'd be good with other dogs - no cage aggression and wanted to sniff & wag tail at Simba through fence. Doesn't bark much. Did not show anxiety when ignored. Fairly easy on a leash - doesn't seem from training, but naturally not that pully. Very sweet boy. Trainable. Definitely a lab mix, but with what is a mystery. THICK UNDERCOAT. Will needs LOTS of grooming. Sleek, but not overly energetic. Content and happy boy. Not a care in the world. updated 11/06/24

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Even though Karma is a mix, the Great Dane in stands out prominently with this lady! She's SCARED OF EVERYTHING! Bug? AHH! Road noise? AHHH! Sudden movement? AHHHH! Karma is SO sweet, not a mean bone in her body, but really needs a confidence boost! She absolutely looks to her humans for security & safety. If she spots one of those terrifying flying fuzzies (a moth...) she'll practically leap into your arms as if to say, "HALP!" She likes to carry around a security stuffie, too. Once she gets to the dog park, however, she transforms into a sleek & sweet beauty queen, relishing the joy of running and stretching those long legs! So far, Karma appears to be potty-trained! She seems to want to play with other pups and rarely barks. Given her personality, she might even do well with kitties! She might not know what to do with tiny humans yet, but harm them? Heck no! Like anything else about Karma, she just needs a calm and pro-active environment where she can ease up. Potential owners should be confident, gentle and patient, working with her to build up her confidence. Call the shelter to set up a meet & greet with this silly-sweet lady! updated: 11/13/24
