Story
Darla is a sweet fun loving girl. She has typical shepherd markings on a sturdy lab body. She is shy and a bit timid at first, especially with men, but after about 3 days, her charming, fun personality emerges. She's the perfect mix of chill and playful. Her German Shepherd line means she's going to bond with you and her family. She is especially fond of women and would do fantastic with a single woman who wants a dog that will alert to dangers. She'll be right there wherever you go in the house. Darla knows some basic commands like sit, shake, sit up, and is pretty good about staying. She loves to play with dogs similar to her size and loves playing outside.. okay she just loves to play. She loves squeaky toys, though they won't last long! She also needs tough chew toys. Darla is curious about cats, but seems to be able to coexist with them. Darla is house-trained, rides well in a car, and will sleep in a crate all night, if the crate is in your bedroom. She would prefer to sleep on a dog bed, in your room, and not make a peep. Darla is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and waiting for her forever home.

Story
My name is Elsa and I used to think I would live out my life with a family that adopted me as a puppy and had children that I loved playing with. Just recently they decided that they couldn't keep me and I really don't know if the excuses were valid but I ended up at the shelter in East Tennessee and they contacted a volunteer with Critter cavalry rescue to see if they would come get me. The shelter people knew I didn't belong there and that was getting depressed. I went into boarding and Critter Calvary saw to it that I got all my shots and heartworm test done and microchip and fecal and that I got spayed especially. Very important for me to never have puppies. I'm an easygoing girl that does have energy because I'm a 3-year-old 50 lb doodle. Because I have poodle in me I'm extremely intelligent and I love physical and mental activities. I know how to sit and how to shake and probably other commands if someone will just show me the ropes and what to do. I'm housebroken I'm crate trained I'm pretty much the ideal Parti Doodle girl.   Some people tell me I'm a showstopper. I recently got groomed and they really cut me a little too short but some of these pictures you see on the post or me before the haircut. I like my hair longer for the winter and it will grow out pretty quickly and soon you'll see all the little curls again and the pretty look that I have when I'm looking more Poodly than I am now. I walk very well on a leash but certainly can polish those skills with someone that does this with me daily. I love other dogs and I'm good with cats. There's really nothing bad that I do in my life, but the fact that I'm homeless is a sad part of my life. I hope someone will make me their very own that has a fenced in backyard and maybe some kids to play with and I can play fetch and tug of war and run happily in the backyard while they laugh at my antics. It would be a great Thanksgiving to share a turkey leg with a real forever family. If you're interested in adopting me, I am in the New England area and I can actually travel on the transport van just about anywhere. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com If you would like to have an application or answers to any of your questions. I'm waiting like a little lady to be told that someone truly and deeply wants to make me their own.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 16, 2024, 2:05 pm

Story
Get ready to dig into Spiced Yam! This handsome boy came to us with his siblings from a different shelter so we don`t know his history, but he`s ready for his future! Spiced Yam would do best in an active home that has a high fence due to his high hops, but its not a requirement at this time. He has mastered the art of parkour and due to this we are requiring a 6+ age restriction. We highly recommend doing a D2D with any resident dogs to make sure they will be life long friends. Also, slow introductions to new people and canine companions is always best! He can get possessive about his food so feeding separately from other dogs would be best. Spiced Yam is still young so puppy behaviors are to be expected. He will need some help with manners, leash walking, and potty training. If you want to get yourself a warm bowl full of Spiced Yam a kennel technician will be happy to help!*Spiced Yam is still a growing boy so adopters should be aware of any size restrictions
