Story
This handsome bobtailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Happy Hank is an 8 month old Lab/Pit mix that is all about loving you and having spreading his sunshine personality with everyone he meets.  This older puppy came from a very rough part of rural Tennessee and the environment was really bad.  Despite all of this early exposure in his life to bad people, he still has turned out to be a really nice dog along with his brother Shadow.  They are not scarred as many can be. He is good with other dogs and we will try him with cats soon. His easy going personality makes us think that he is going to be an exceptional boy to consider adopting into any family.  We have started teaching him the leash and he is excelling at it.  He would love a home and a yard and could certainly be happy with another dog friend in the family. He will soon be an adult and we feel he will weigh 50-60 pounds.  He is neutered and complete on all shots and healthy as can be.  If you are interested in having this Happy Hank in your life please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and we will start the ball rolling. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Benny- 60 lb, 12  months old, black with white paws, lab/shepard mix    Handsome Benny may look full grown but he's still just a playful, energetic puppy! This boy loves to play and wrestle with other dogs, he requires a fenced in yard where the fence is at least 5 ft high so he can run and explore. He needs a doggie playmate.  He's agile enough to jump a fence should he want to, even though he has not tried at his foster home. He knows commands like come, sit and paw. Benny is a quiet, very friendly pup and great with people. He looks forward to cuddling up on the couch with his family. We think he would do very well in a two dog household as he does get lonely and bored when left alone. Exercise is a must for this boy so an active family would be great for him. He is fully potty trained.

Story
Meet Sinatra!  This sweet 5 year old 50 lb lab mix is the ultimate family dog.  He loves everyone and we mean everyone.  Whether you have 2 or 4 legs Sinatra does not meet a stranger.  This poor boy was put outside by his owner and ignored.  It was up to the neighbors to take care of him.  After the remnants of Herricane Helene came through Nashville and even then Sinatra was left outside, the neighbors had had enough.  They contacted Critter Cavalry and the owner could not surrender him fast enough.  Now Sinatra is inside in a wonderful foster home with a great foster mom and her big dog who always welcomes the fosters with a smile and a wagging tail.  After two days Sinatra has settled in and become fast friends with his foster brother.  Believe it or not this fantastic boy is house broken, walks well on a leash and can be left out in the house.  Someone loved him once and it is time for a family to love him again.  Sinatra has the softest fur and he loves to be petted.  You can't go wrong if you add this boy to your family.  Sinatra is ready to find his forever home.  Don't miss out on this great boy.  To be considered for his forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Sinatra is in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Hi everyone My name is Jillian and I am your next Energizer bunny pup that will keep you laughing and keep you active and make you happy that I'm around. I'm a young lab mixed girl that was born August 26th and I am at the perfect age to adopt me and start working on all the wonderful dog manners and habits that will make me the perfect girl. I truly am smart as a whip and a ton of fun. I would love to live with a family that has an adult dog that I can hang out with and have them be my mentor and big brother or sister.  I would be fine with cats if I'm introduced to them now. I probably might chase at first just for fun and to make them play with me.  Maybe they will turn around and we could have a grand time together. I am learning about crates and I am learning about a leash and I am learning that the world is big and I intend to explore all of it. I am currently 12 lbs and I will probably be a 45 to 50 lb adult dog. I have beautiful black cold shiny eyes with a soft coat of fur that you will love to stroke and pet. I'm looking for a home now and just in time for Thanksgiving. I'll come and snuggle with you too at all the right moments and maybe even share a turkey leg with the right family that has a fenced in yard and athletic people to play with me.
