Story
Fun Facts About Me: Loyal Companion: I’m exceptionally loyal and observant. Once you’re in my circle, I’ll go to the ends of the earth for you. Cuddle Enthusiast: Cuddles are my love language! I have a unique talent for awkwardly jumping into laps and gazing deeply into your eyes, so get ready for some serious snuggle sessions! Dog Lover: I live with three other big pups, and we have a blast exploring the backyard and barking at the neighborhood hooligans. I do need a gentle introduction to new dogs, though. Kids make me a bit nervous, but I’m very intrigued by cats—just want to give them a good sniff! Genetic Diversity: I’m a proud world-wide mutt! My DNA shows I have roots from Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, making me one-of-a-kind! Healthy & Active: I’m spayed, up-to-date on all my immunizations, and ready for action! I can run FAST, thanks to my athletic genes—one of my ancestors was bred to hunt antelopes! Let’s hit the trails together! Mood Indicator: You can read my feelings by watching my little tail! When I’m happy, it perks up; when I’m excited, it wiggles around like a joystick; and when I’m nervous, it curls downward. Apply today and I can be a part of your family. My fee is sponsored. Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
Blossom is a petite girl with a spunky attitude, who loves to be in the middle of the action. She is pretty nimble for a 6 month old puppy and will chart a path to whatever treat she is after. She loves to give sweet kisses and will, with the slightest encouragement, plop her head on your lap for some ear and head scratches while she gazes up at you. Blossom’s sweet, playful nature helps her get along with every dog she meets. When she’s feeling extra cute, she will pull out her signature diving plop and roll. In new situations, Blossom tends to be timid but with a little coaxing (aka treats) she quickly gains confidence and gets her spunk back. If you have any chew toys lying around, you can be sure that Blossom will make sure they are well-loved. Details: Blossom is crate trained, mostly house trained, spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea prevention. She gets along with kids and generally avoids cats. She is working on her basic commands and is up for adoption through Save-A-Stray. Feel free to contact me for more details/questions! If you need a buddy complete an application at https://www.saveastray.org/forms/form?formid=3635 Thank you for your interest in a Save a Stray pet. Story
This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road. This is Sampson-- found abandoned and needs a great home! Has a brother (Goliath) that is also up for adoption! Meet the adorable "Tweedle twins" – Sampson and Goliath. These two are full of playful energy and love to spread joy! The finder discovered these big-hearted boys abandoned, and we estimate their age to be around 3 months. Based on their behavior, it seems they are lab mixes, as they absolutely adore water and gulp down their food (typical lab behavior). At the moment, they weigh close to 20 pounds. Working on potty training and using the doggie door in the rescue's dog run, but puppies take time and patience with this. Goliath is located in East, TN. woofwooffosters.org

Story
Hi, my name is Skip. I was found wondering and a very kind person picked me up and brought me to the local foster. I am a little scared, but I warm up fast to a friendly human. I would love to have a home of my own. Even with another dog to play with would be great. I am getting all of my shots up to date and I am neutered as well as microchipped. So, see I am all ready to go to my new furever home. I am being fostered in Tennessee, but the foster says that they use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Hello everyone, my name is Keziah, I am 6 months old and appear to be a black lab mix. My foster mom has had me and my two brother which have already been adopted so I am last of the litter. My parents were small so I should be roughly around 50 pounds when full grown. A lil more about me. I have been raised with other dogs big and small, I love love love to play and get the zoomies when I'm so excited and have my play mates chase me around in the yard. When I get tired, I flop over and let them tackle me. My foster mom has many animals I get to interact with which includes chicken, guineas, and peacocks. I watch them in a distance or stay with my foster mom while she feeds, but I do tend to stay away as they are friends and not food or toys to play with. I am crate and house trained. I know how to sit, stay and walk great on a leash. If you think I'm the best fit for you please fill out an adoption form today! I'm sure I will love you and can't wait to meet you! I am being fostered in Tennessee, but we do use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
