You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, My name is Pongo. I've lived at EGHS for many years now. I'm getting a little age on me and would love to have my forever home where I can enjoy my senior years. I do best as an only dog. I tend to enjoy a more sedate lifestyle at this stage. Although I do enjoy a romp every now and then.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 28, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
Running buddy wanted. I am a gorgeous black lab and shepherd mix, 18 months old, current on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Seeking home with love, good food, and air conditioning for my cool down. I am a little shy at first but love to play and explore. Champ would not be good in a home with small children, as they stress him. High energy, Champ needs a physically active lifestyle with a walker, runner, hiker. He has cohabited well with other dogs in the past but bigger dogs intimidate him.  ##782224##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bronx is the ultimate good boy and they just don't come any better than him! He's got a peaceful yet playful personality and has become the big brother to the puppies at the shelter. He loves to go for walks and absolutely adores dips in the doggy pool. He's happy playing in a group or hanging out solo with a volunteer on the deck. He loves to get his belly rubbed and will often flop right over to make sure we have access to do a good job! If you're looking for a best friend, Bronx is as good as they come!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.All PAWS cats and dogs are current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Story
Meet Ivy! This gorgeous girl is around 1-2 years old. We are unsure what she is mixed with, but we are guessing she has some husky in her due to her antics. She is such a sweet girl and SUPER energetic. She would love a family that goes to the lake, river or has a pool, she is a MAJOR water dog. She is looking for a super active family that can take her on long walks and plenty of adventures. She has done well with dogs she has met here but meet and greets are required. She would do well with children as long as she does get her energy out just due to the jumping around as she can be a wrecking ball at times. If interested in Ivy, the shelter is open Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm pending on if staff is in the building. You can also call the shelter at 804-520-9397 ext. 5 to set up an appointment!
