Story
🐾 Meet Shay! 🐾Shay is a 4-year-old Lab/Chow mix with a heart full of love waiting for the right home. She came to us after her previous owner had to go into hospice, and was eventually signed over by the next of kin.Shay prefers to be the only dog in the home for now - she isn't interested in interacting and they make her a bit uncomfortable. She also prefers no feline friends. She can be anxious at first, but warms up quickly with gentle affection and loves to snuggle-she dreams of being a big lap dog! 💛She's a tennis ball enthusiast 🎾 and loves playing fetch, and she seems to be housetrained. Shay would thrive in a calm, loving environment where she can feel safe and be showered with attention. Primary Color: Black Weight: 57 Age: 4yrs 11mths 1wks

Story
Meet Suess — a 4-year-old Labrador with a heart full of love! ❤️ Suess is housebroken, very mild-mannered, and laid-back — the perfect companion for a family or anyone looking for a calm, loyal friend. He’s great with kids, loves his snack time, and enjoys just lounging around and being close to people. He’s truly a great family pet, but unfortunately, I just don’t have the time to give him the attention he deserves.

Story
Meet Goldie Belle    Goldie Belle is a young 2-3 year old, 61 pound Doodle mix with a heart as tender as her beautiful, soulful eyes. No one knows how long she was on her own as a homeless girl wandering from house to house in a rural neighborhood — matted, hungry, and carrying a secret. Despite the odds stacked against her, she gave birth to her puppies and did her best to care for them, all while trying to survive herself.  At first, Goldie was shy and reserved, unsure if she could trust the people around her. But as neighbors fed her each day, her gentle spirit began to shine through. Goldie wants to love, to play, and to feel safe — she’s just waiting for the right family to give her that chance.   This sweet girl gets along well with other dogs, especially if they are friendly and kind. What Goldie Belle needs most is a calm, stable environment filled with consistency, patience, and love. With time, she will blossom into the playful, loving companion she’s always wanted to be.   And did we mention her eyes? Goldie has the most unique, heart-melting gaze — the kind that tells a story of resilience and hope, and the promise of all the love she’s ready to give.   If you’re looking for a gentle soul who just needs someone to believe in her, Goldie Belle is waiting.    Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in receiving an application and knowing more about her.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 16, 2025, 9:19 pm

Story
Nellie’s story is one that stays with you. She is a six-year-old black Labrador mix, slender and soft, with a heart that has survived more loss than any dog should ever face. Three years ago, her world began to dim as her eyesight faded. And earlier this year, the one person she trusted completely—the one constant she had—passed away. Since then, Nellie has been trying her best to understand a world she can no longer see and no longer recognizes.   Yet through all of it, she remains a dog who still reaches for love.   In her foster home in Middle Tennessee, Nellie has learned to navigate the darkness with quiet bravery. She memorizes the corners of a room, finds her way to sunny spots on the floor, and follows the sound of her foster’s voice with a soft wag of her tail. When she senses you nearby, she leans her head gently against you—not pushing, not demanding, just hoping for connection. A hand resting on her back, a soft word spoken close to her ear… these moments are everything to her.   Nellie needs a home where the world finally slows down for her. A calm place with someone who understands that love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. She cannot share her space with other dogs or cats; the unpredictability is simply too overwhelming for a girl who now relies on sound and scent to feel safe. But with her humans, she is tender, polite, and grateful. She is perfectly house trained, never destructive, and content just to be nearby—quietly existing alongside the person who becomes her world.   Her foster can only keep her through December, and beyond that lies uncertainty. Nellie has already lost so much; the thought of her losing her safe place again is heartbreaking. She deserves someone who sees her not as a dog with limitations, but as a loyal soul waiting for her chance to belong again.   If you are someone who believes that love is an act of healing…If you have space in your heart for a dog who will depend on your kindness…If you feel called to give a very special girl the miracle she needs…   Then Nellie is waiting for you.   To give her the peaceful, loving home she longs for, please email:ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 20, 2025, 11:20 pm
