Story
Meet L.E.-Your Future Best Friend!L.E. is a sweet, active boy looking for a family to call his own. Rescued from a holding facility on the day he was to be euthanized, he’s now ready to catch up on all the petting, snuggling, and treats he probably never had before.L.E. is a friendly and playful pup who loves running around with his adult female dog buddies. Even though they’re smaller, he gives them great playtime, though his playful energy might be too much for very small dogs. He enjoys any toy he can find and is always up for a game. When it’s time to relax, he loves giving kisses and snuggling on the sofa, always ready for belly rubs.At night, L.E. has a big watchdog bark if someone comes around, but he doesn’t bark without reason. He can be submissive and sometimes cautious with new experiences, showing his gentle nature. This boy is housetrained to a doggie door and does well in the crate at night, making him a well-behaved companion. He is fine around older kids, but hasn't been around little ones yet.L.E. is a quiet traveler in the car and is currently working on his leash training. If you’re looking for a loving, energetic, and loyal friend, L.E. is ready to join your family and share all his love and joy!Name: L.E.Breed: Labrador Retriever/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 60.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Texarkana TxIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Chase Chevy, the ultimate four-legged heartthrob and your future BFF (Best Furry Friend). This sleek black stunner doesn’t just have the looks—though, let’s be honest, he’s basically the George Clooney of dogs—but also the charm to back it up. His favorite hobbies? Basking in the sun like a runway model showing off his glossy coat and handing out free kisses like it’s his full-time job (spoiler: it is).Chase is a pro at sniffing out adventure and loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors on long walks. Got treats? He’s your guy. This smart cookie will do just about anything for a snack, making training sessions less of a chore and more of a comedy show. When it comes to making friends, Chase is a social butterfly. He plays equally well with the big dogs, the little dogs, and probably even the invisible ones. He’s totally down for a doggie sibling but could also rock the solo life as long as he gets plenty of love (and belly rubs, obviously). With a personality bigger than his wagging tail, Chase Chevy is ready to rev up your life and steal your heart. Buckle up—it’s going to be one heck of a joyride! Story
All alone on the streets of Memphis, probably since birth, until she was 7 months. Now she is with a great foster family and lots of other dogs but big and small. Her foster Dad said she is so loving and is going to be a wonderful family member. She is lucky in that she wandered into the yard of a woman who reached out for help. Even though she couldn't bring her inside, because she had dogs of her own, she asked on FB for someone to come pick her up. Her new fosters saw the post and sent someone to get her.  When she was picked up and brought into rescue, (8/16), she was brought directly to the vet. Her diagnosis of Demodex mange was not surprising, treatment was started ASAP. Otherwise she was healthy. She's a happy puppy, she is not super shy, walks up to people with her tail wagging, and is just delightful. She has all the puppy energy her foster mom says she is all legs and clumsy... In the nicest of ways of course!! She is crate trained and will sleep in her crate all night. She plays great with all the other dogs in her foster home. She can be a little rowdy but once that wears off its nap time. If you think this girl has already stolen your heart, don't wait apply now!!!!!Name: ParadiseBreed: Lab/MixSex: FemaleAge: 9 months as of 12/20/24Weight: 45 lbs as of 12/20/24Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Tested in October NEG!!!Housetraing: YesMicrochipped: YesCats: Not TestedDogs: YesKids: Has not lived with small kids so over 7 is bestLocation of dog currently:  Memphis  Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Story
Meet sweet Cobby, whose heart is as big as his gentle personality!!!This sweet boy is searching for his forever family after a rough start to life. Found alone and emaciated outside, Cobby was covered in mange and had barely any fur, but a kind passerby spotted him and felt that he was reaching out for help, which he promptly received. After rescue, Cobby was sent to an amazing southern foster home. He was adjusting and then one beautiful day his foster mom decided to start him with some leash training, but he wanted nothing to do with it and fractured his rear leg jumping and rolling to attempt to have it taken off. His leg was splinted and being monitored at the local vet office when he then developed a case of parvo. Just one thing after another for this poor pup.Fast forward a few weeks and now this boy is healthy and thriving with a playful spirit and a deep love for affection. He is very lovable to “his person”.He is still shy and timid at first with new people. No aggression.... just backs up until he knows he is safe. As far as other dogs, he was a bit afraid of them and not sure how to play, but he is definitely learning..check out these videos of him playing with his foster sibling:https://youtube.com/shorts/I3-IPGNKkuQ?si=68Vcx7dVMTc3hmU0https://youtube.com/shorts/kCe-BGMFThM?si=5-nQKGPN8XI3luhmHe’s also a little unsure in new places, but with a treat and a bit of encouragement, he quickly warms up. Foster has been taking him to work with her to get more exposure. By day 2, he was going to a couple of other desks for treats and even played with one lady!!Cobby is housetrained with a doggie door. He is still not truly fond of a leash, but is getting better and better. Cobby is now ready to bring joy, love, and a lifetime of companionship to a patient dog experienced family willing to give him the time needed to decompress. He is definitely going to make a great dog companion!!Name: CobbyBreed: Labrador Retriever/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 7 months  (estimated)Weight: 35.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Unknown, can be tested.Adoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  MississippiIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Story
One day, Edgar wandered down the road of one of our southern rescue partners. It was his lucky day! He was extremely thin and hesitant to come to his would-be rescuer. It took less than 5 minutes to entice him close enough to get a lead on him. He did not resist once the lead was put over his head. He was happy to jump in and ride in the truck to his new life. He has since gained 20 pounds. Edgar is a very cautious boy. He is very happy to play with his foster friends but often prefers to stay at arms length from his his foster dad while walking in the yard .Maybe he reminds him of someone.. hard to say But when he sits, Edgar is very happy to go to him and get his ear rubbings and his high praises.Edgar love the young woman that comes to help with Edgar and friends care. She can pat him anytime she likesEdgar has a big yard to play in and there really isn't much need for a leash. But when there is, Edgar is learning to master it. He likes to go where ever the leash takes him!Edgar is a smart boy, he is kennel-trained, knows his daily routines, and knows just what to do when it is time to go out... it helps if there a little treat waiting for him.His best friend is a female German Shepherd and they spend hours playing in the yard.He hasn't had the opportunity to show his manners around little children yet. none near by. So until he is able to meet some, which we hope will be soon, it best that he be in a home with children over 12yrsWhat Edgar needs a patient family willing to continue to work with Edgar and teach him about living in a home and trusting humans. He has come so far already.ame: EdgarBreed: Labrador Retriever/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 70lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  TN   IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
