Story
Meet L.E.-Your Future Best Friend!L.E. is a sweet, active boy looking for a family to call his own. Rescued from a holding facility on the day he was to be euthanized, he’s now ready to catch up on all the petting, snuggling, and treats he probably never had before.L.E. is a friendly and playful pup who loves running around with his adult female dog buddies. Even though they’re smaller, he gives them great playtime, though his playful energy might be too much for very small dogs. He enjoys any toy he can find and is always up for a game. When it’s time to relax, he loves giving kisses and snuggling on the sofa, always ready for belly rubs.At night, L.E. has a big watchdog bark if someone comes around, but he doesn’t bark without reason. He can be submissive and sometimes cautious with new experiences, showing his gentle nature. This boy is housetrained to a doggie door and does well in the crate at night, making him a well-behaved companion. He is fine around older kids, but hasn't been around little ones yet.L.E. is a quiet traveler in the car and is currently working on his leash training. If you’re looking for a loving, energetic, and loyal friend, L.E. is ready to join your family and share all his love and joy!Name: L.E.Breed: Labrador Retriever/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 60.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Texarkana TxIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Eugene, a brave boy on the road to recovery! Rescued from a rural shelter near New Albany, Mississippi, Eugene found himself in a tough spot—sitting in the shelter for an extended time with his euthanization date fast approaching. Thankfully, a kind-hearted friend reached out, and after seeing his photos, we couldn’t say no.Eugene is currently in foster care, healing from old and new wounds. He has a deformity on his right front paw, the cause of which is still a mystery—either an old injury or a hereditary condition, but he does walk normally. Despite his challenges, Eugene is a resilient soul. This sweet boy is understandably scared, especially around men, but his dedicated foster is already working with him to build his confidence. With patience and love, Eugene will blossom into the wonderful companion he was always meant to be.If you’re interested in giving Eugene a loving home, please feel free to apply now. We’re looking for someone who understands that healing takes time and will be patient as he grows. Story
Meet Momma Sadie, a young girl bursting with lots and lots of love!! Sadie was abandoned on the rough streets of Memphis; she's a testament to resilience. Her sweetness is present the moment she meets you. She is a caretaker by nature and absolutely loves all dogs and humans, big and small, warming every heart she encounters. She's is gentle, a soothing presence in a chaotic world. She loves to snuggle with her dog friends and her humans. She is cuddly and friendly, she's a BFF waiting to happen.Sadie suffered knee injury while on the streets, the Vet says she will always have a limp to her right hind leg, but there is no need to fix. It is an older injury and does not stop her from running and playing by any means. Momma Sadie's playful spirit is infectious, turning the gloomiest days into a joyous romp. Sadie loves her toys and plays with them with her dog friends. This girl truly enjoys car rides, McDonald’s and walks at the park. She also does great on a leash. Momma is crate and house trained and she doesn’t even mind cats.Adopt Momma Sadie, not just for a pet, but for a steadfast companion who will fill your life with laughter, love, and loyalty.Name: Momma SadieBreed: Labrador Retriever/TerrierSex: FemaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 53.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Positive on recent testing She is already on pre-treatment and will soon be ready for the necessary care. Story
Meet sweet Cobby, whose heart is as big as his gentle personality!!!This sweet boy is searching for his forever family after a rough start to life. Found alone and emaciated outside, Cobby was covered in mange and had barely any fur, but a kind passerby spotted him and felt that he was reaching out for help, which he promptly received. After rescue, Cobby was sent to an amazing southern foster home. He was adjusting and then one beautiful day his foster mom decided to start him with some leash training, but he wanted nothing to do with it and fractured his rear leg jumping and rolling to attempt to have it taken off. His leg was splinted and being monitored at the local vet office when he then developed a case of parvo. Just one thing after another for this poor pup.Fast forward a few weeks and now this boy is healthy and thriving with a playful spirit and a deep love for affection. He is very lovable to “his person”.He is still shy and timid at first with new people. No aggression.... just backs up until he knows he is safe. As far as other dogs, he was a bit afraid of them and not sure how to play, but he is definitely learning..check out these videos of him playing with his foster sibling:https://youtube.com/shorts/I3-IPGNKkuQ?si=68Vcx7dVMTc3hmU0https://youtube.com/shorts/kCe-BGMFThM?si=5-nQKGPN8XI3luhmHe’s also a little unsure in new places, but with a treat and a bit of encouragement, he quickly warms up. Foster has been taking him to work with her to get more exposure. By day 2, he was going to a couple of other desks for treats and even played with one lady!!Cobby is housetrained with a doggie door. He is still not truly fond of a leash, but is getting better and better. Cobby is now ready to bring joy, love, and a lifetime of companionship to a patient dog experienced family willing to give him the time needed to decompress. He is definitely going to make a great dog companion!!Name: CobbyBreed: Labrador Retriever/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 7 months  (estimated)Weight: 35.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: YesGood with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: Unknown, can be tested.Adoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  MississippiIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.
