weight 38 lbs age: 8 months as of 12/11/24 adoption donation: $599     Daphne is a super sweet and gentle girl. She loves cuddles and ear scratches. Daphne is shy and a bit insecure as she has had a rough beginning. She is looking for a loving home with another dog (or dogs) to help her become her best self. If you have a great pup and are looking for a second Daphne may be the perfect match for you. She will also need a fenced in yard in order to adjust quickly and fully to her forever home.      Daphne was found with her sister Hayden, emaciated and living in a culvert in a rural and remote part of northern Mississippi in an area known as a dumping ground for dogs. Despite her difficult beginning Daphne is a great dog. She loves other dogs and is great with cats. At the rescue in Mississippi she loved to splash in the plastic swimming pool! She also loves to run in the yard and prance in the leaves. Daphne is currently being fostered in a home with two dogs and a cat in New England and is ready to meet her forever family.      Daphne is fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped. She doesn’t have a drop of aggression and is housebroken, as soon as she gets outside, she gets right down to business!          Daphne will make a wonderful addition to your family. Wags is a licensed 501 C3 where one woman takes care of almost 150 homeless and stray dogs many of them have expensive medical needs.. Adoption fees include transport, vaccinations, microchip, and spay or neuter. Story
Meet L.E.-Your Future Best Friend!L.E. is a sweet, active boy looking for a family to call his own. Rescued from a holding facility on the day he was to be euthanized, he’s now ready to catch up on all the petting, snuggling, and treats he probably never had before.L.E. is a friendly and playful pup who loves running around with his adult female dog buddies. Even though they’re smaller, he gives them great playtime, though his playful energy might be too much for very small dogs. He enjoys any toy he can find and is always up for a game. When it’s time to relax, he loves giving kisses and snuggling on the sofa, always ready for belly rubs.At night, L.E. has a big watchdog bark if someone comes around, but he doesn’t bark without reason. He can be submissive and sometimes cautious with new experiences, showing his gentle nature. This boy is housetrained to a doggie door and does well in the crate at night, making him a well-behaved companion. He is fine around older kids, but hasn't been around little ones yet.L.E. is a quiet traveler in the car and is currently working on his leash training. If you’re looking for a loving, energetic, and loyal friend, L.E. is ready to join your family and share all his love and joy!Name: L.E.Breed: Labrador Retriever/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 2 years  (estimated)Weight: 60.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: Over 12Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Texarkana TxIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Chase Chevy, the ultimate four-legged heartthrob and your future BFF (Best Furry Friend). This sleek black stunner doesn’t just have the looks—though, let’s be honest, he’s basically the George Clooney of dogs—but also the charm to back it up. His favorite hobbies? Basking in the sun like a runway model showing off his glossy coat and handing out free kisses like it’s his full-time job (spoiler: it is).Chase is a pro at sniffing out adventure and loves nothing more than exploring the great outdoors on long walks. Got treats? He’s your guy. This smart cookie will do just about anything for a snack, making training sessions less of a chore and more of a comedy show. When it comes to making friends, Chase is a social butterfly. He plays equally well with the big dogs, the little dogs, and probably even the invisible ones. He’s totally down for a doggie sibling but could also rock the solo life as long as he gets plenty of love (and belly rubs, obviously). With a personality bigger than his wagging tail, Chase Chevy is ready to rev up your life and steal your heart. Buckle up—it’s going to be one heck of a joyride! Story
All alone on the streets of Memphis, probably since birth, until she was 7 months. Now she is with a great foster family and lots of other dogs but big and small. Her foster Dad said she is so loving and is going to be a wonderful family member. She is lucky in that she wandered into the yard of a woman who reached out for help. Even though she couldn't bring her inside, because she had dogs of her own, she asked on FB for someone to come pick her up. Her new fosters saw the post and sent someone to get her.  When she was picked up and brought into rescue, (8/16), she was brought directly to the vet. Her diagnosis of Demodex mange was not surprising, treatment was started ASAP. Otherwise she was healthy. She's a happy puppy, she is not super shy, walks up to people with her tail wagging, and is just delightful. She has all the puppy energy her foster mom says she is all legs and clumsy... In the nicest of ways of course!! She is crate trained and will sleep in her crate all night. She plays great with all the other dogs in her foster home. She can be a little rowdy but once that wears off its nap time. If you think this girl has already stolen your heart, don't wait apply now!!!!!Name: ParadiseBreed: Lab/MixSex: FemaleAge: 9 months as of 12/20/24Weight: 45 lbs as of 12/20/24Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations:   Puppy vaccines will be up to date - all vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Tested in October NEG!!!Housetraing: YesMicrochipped: YesCats: Not TestedDogs: YesKids: Has not lived with small kids so over 7 is bestLocation of dog currently:  Memphis  Puppy Adoption Fee:  $550.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate of up to $200.00 to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee.ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life.
