Story
Meet Zero. Zero came to us with over 100 animals from a cruelty case over 3 years ago. After 1,045 days, we FINALLY gained ownership of them in December of 2024! Merry Christmas to us!! After so long of only having our staff every day, they’re extremely timid. They can be nervous & scared when meeting new people, so a few meetings are required. She has so much love to give, she’s just scared of new things. She has a lot of confidence-building that she needs to work on, and she needs someone who’s willing to work with her and has that patience. We know that there is a special someone out there who has the compassion and understanding of the life she’s lived before coming to us.

Flash is a 7-year-old lab who is looking for a new home! Sadly, his owners have passed away, and that's why he is here. He will be fixed before adoption! He has never been near other dogs, so if you have another dog, we would have to do a dog meet, and he can be cat tested if needed!

Story
We're looking for the right home for our 3-year-old Lab, Izzy.Izzy is a true lab - full of energy, love, and personality. She is incredibly affectionate, playful, and loves to run and wrestle with her 1-year-old golden retriever brother. She thrives in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise and attention. We believe Izzy would do best in a home without young children or cats, where she can have a more predictable environment and continue to thrive. She will require ongoing training for some behavioral changes that have come up since having our baby. This decision has not come easy to us, and we truly want to find her a home that's the best fit for her needs. She is an amazing dog who has so much love to give.

Story
Meet Penny 🐾 Penny is an 11-year-old cream Labrador Retriever with a heart as gentle as her pace in life. She’s the definition of loyal companionship and would love nothing more than to be by your side, enjoying the quiet moments. Penny prefers the simple things—lounging outside while you garden, soaking up the sunshine, and taking leisurely walks where she can stop and smell every flower along the way. She isn’t interested in toys or high-energy play; she’s happiest just being near her people. She does well with calm, larger dogs but would also be perfectly content as your one-and-only companion. Penny has a strong prey drive, so she will need a home without small animals (including cats, small dogs, or rabbits). Currently living with a 7-year-old child, Penny adores kids! Because she doesn’t always realize her size, a home with children 5 and older would be the best fit. The practical details: • Housebroken and crate trained • Walks nicely on leash (at her own relaxed pace!) • Doesn’t require a fenced yard, but would certainly enjoy one • No small animals-cats, rabbits, small dogs in the home Like many senior labs, Penny has some arthritis. She takes a daily joint supplement (Cosequin) and uses an anti-inflammatory (Carprofen) as needed to stay comfortable. Penny is looking for a calm, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years surrounded by kindness and companionship. If you’re looking for a sweet, steady presence in your life, Penny might just be your perfect match. Kennel License 9117 Reading PA 19608

Story
Meet Cindy Lou! Age: 8 years Breed: Labrador Retriever Size: Large Energy Level: Moderate Cindy Lou is a sweet, happy Lab who lives for love and companionship. She absolutely adores people and is always ready to soak up affection—whether it’s belly rubs, ear scratches, or just being by your side. She gets along great with other dogs and would fit in beautifully with a canine sibling, but she’d also be perfectly content being the center of your world. Cindy Lou is wonderful with kids and enjoys being part of a family where she can share in all the love and activity. Like any true Lab, Cindy Lou is very food motivated and eager to please her people, which makes her a great candidate for continued training. She walks on a leash but can pull when she gets excited—she just loves exploring and being out and about. She is both crate trained and potty trained, making her an easy addition to a home routine. Cindy Lou is the kind of dog who will brighten your days with her loving nature, loyal heart, and joyful spirit. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will always be happy to see you, she’s ready to meet you! She is being fostered in Lancaster, PA and all potential adopters will need to travel there for a meet and greet.  If you think Cindy lou is what your looking for apply at www.zoeshouserescue.com/adopt Kennel License 9117 Reading PA 19608
