Meet Ebony! Age: 2 years. Breed: Labrador retriever. Size: approx 65lbs. Training: crate trained, we are working on leash and house training and she is doing well. Good with dogs/cats? She LOVES other dogs. She is fine with cats. Good with men/women/kids? Yes. Personality: shy/submissive. LOVES other dogs. She is reserved/timid in new situations. She hasn't had many life experiences and will need time and patience to learn how to be the wonderful companion we know he will be! She has so much potential! A fenced yard is preferred. Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring. Ebony is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Story
Meet Nova! Breed: lab mix. Age: approx 1 year, birthdate 10/17/23. Weight: 40lbs currently. Training: crate and leash trained. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes to dogs. Good with adults/kids? She can be timid/reserved at first, but that doesn't last long. Personality: loving, friendly and playful. Reason for rescue: surrendered with mom and siblings - cannot care for. Nova was adopted as an 8 week old pup at Christmas. She was returned at 6 months old due to not doing well being crated. She has done fine with this in foster care. She was adopted and returned 6 months later because she wasn't doing well with the cats in her home and the owner had life changes (pregnancy, etc). Nova is only a year old and she has been passed around. She needs and deserves a FOREVER home! Nova is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding this sweet baby to your family, please message for an adoption application! Adoption fee: $75.December 22, 2024, 12:45 pm

Story
This is a courtesy post. Please do not contact Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue. Contact information is provided in the description below.Teddy is a Lab/Husky/Pit mix. He is about a year old and about 64 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Teddy has been looked after by a kind person after neighbors saw him get dumped out of a vehicle. Unfortunately, this person's pets do not get along with him, so he needs a new home.Teddy loves to go walking, play with his toys, and go on hikes. His favorite treats are jerky sticks and peanut butter. He also loves rolling around in the leaves and playing fetch with his ball. He is initially fearful with other dogs, but has improved and seems to have done very well with recent interactions. He may be timid/shy at first but has not barked or showed reactive behaviors after some recent socialization. Teddy does have anxiety at times, but mostly just starts panting and gets nervous. He has some puppy behavioral issues that need some work (like jumping and pulling), but has already improved in the time that the owner has had him. He knows commands like “sit”, “stay”, “place”, “down” and “leave it”. He is kennel/crate trained. He has not stayed in the house unless he is in a kennel, so not sure if he is house trained yet. The owner will donate all the food, toys, supplies, etc., as well as provide all of his vet documentation. If you are interested in Teddy, please contact Autumn at Aautumndenisee@yahoo.com or aautumndenisee@gmail.com
