Story
My name is Tia and I arrived at the shelter as a result of a cruelty/neglect case. I came in with another dog named Milo and both of us were very skinny and very afraid....I did gain more confidence as the staff have been helping me overcome my shyness and helping me to learn that the world isn`t such a scary place....and people are my friends and want to take care of me. I would do best in a home without a lot of activity...I am looking for a calm home and looking for someone who has patience and is willing to go slow with me and I guarantee even though I am wallflower now...I want to blossom into social butterfly some day

Felix is a 2-4y.o. Lab mix, he has gained his weight back now as he came in malnourished. He also had missing hair from fleas but his coat has come back beautifully. He is UTD on Rabies and Distemper vaccines and has been neutered. We don’t know if he’s Been around cats or kids and he would need a meet and greet with any existing dogs. He loves walks and treats and just to be around people. If you have any questions about Felix or would like a meet and greet please call Livingston County Dog Control @585-243-6740 please leave a detailed message if no answer and we will call you back as soon as possible, thank you!

Story
Harley weighs about 59 lbs. and was born about October 7, 2011 or July 3, 2010 depending on which vet paperwork you'd like to go by.  The later makes him 14 which I struggle with as he is in great shape and moves really well.  He is a very pretty boy with lovely soft eyes and expressions.  He is wonderful with all the other dogs and was living with a spicy, tiny, Chihuahua until his human lost his job, in the greater Buffalo area, and had to move out of the country and were unable to take the dogs with them.  Harley rides well in the car and will stick with you off-leash while tending to the garden.  Harley is an amazing snuggly buddy and will curl up next to you and sleep soundly throughout the night.  This sweet boy has a lot of love left in him and deserves to be pampered in his golden years.  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $  250.00_. Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.    Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility. YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES   We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.   Can't Adopt Me?  SPONSOR ME Look for the Link 'Special Instructions to Seller' if you want to note a particular pet Before you seek to adopt a pet from Joyful Rescues, please read our Pet Adoption page http://www.joyfulrescues.org/pet_adoption.html. Story
Faye and her siblings were born around March 21, 2024 and might top out in the 60-65 pound range when done growing.  The gentle waves down her back are delightful as is her beautiful pale eye color.   She is not a big barker which we love.  Faye is simply adorable and has a happy outgoing personality to match!  We do feel there is likely a splash of pitty mixed in a bit among a mostly Retriever appearance and she loves water and does swim and is comfortable on a Kayak.   Faye rides well in the car, is good on leash and uses the dog door to go out and potty.  We do want to say with another change and especially if there is no dog door you'll want to carefully monitor the house training if you decide to adopt this cutie! Faye has too much interest in kitties to live with them.  The Adoption Fee for this dog is $500.00 Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability.
