Story
Winston has the sweetest soul, and loves everyone he meets. He enjoys giving so many kisses and hugs. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He is on a prescription diet for a sensitive stomach which has done wonders. His favorite activities include: playing fetch, swimming, and bird watching. Winston was neutered when he turned 1. He is used to and loves a big yard to run around in. Winston is looking for a new home because he does not get along with our service dog. He has had good experiences with our German shepherd. He has also gotten along well with my mom’s labradoodle and brother’s pit bull. Due to the hound in him, we’re unsure if he we will get along with cats. Please message me if interested. Upon request, DNA results and vet records available.

Please contact Denise at 610-656-1291 (Fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This dog is located in New Castle, DE. Visit us on the web at https://fur-everpaws.com/fur-ever-paws-adoption-application/ to submit an application. Please contact the foster directly at 610-656-1291 (text or call) or via email at fureverpawsdogrescue@gmail.com Fur Ever Paws Dog Rescue is a small no kill rescue operating in the Delaware/Maryland area. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). We provide a spay or neuter voucher to all of our adopters. &#226&#128&#139 January 23, 2025, 3:53 pm

Story
I purchased Thanos from a kennel at 4 months old. When picking him up I noticed he was afraid of many things. I learned that in his previous home prior to the kennel he was possibly abused causing him to have anxiety. He was afraid of stairs, avoided the kitchen and hated to be left alone. After having him for months he began to use the steps outside the house but to this day he stays only on the main level of the house. He refuses to go upstairs or downstairs even if enticed with treats. He still hates being alone, so he always needs a person, or he gets anxious. He loves to cuddle and has a heavy bark so strangers are usually cautious to walk up but the truth is he would not hurt anyone. Even when he barks loudly, he just jumps up to sniff and lick but not to bite. He had a doggy housemate, but Thanos could not control his impulse to play and chase. The other dog had a strong bite so Thanos would often get injured but still wouldn't stop going back for more.

Story
Lucy came to us as a puppy. She was initially sick and after a good course of meds and love, she became a vibrant ball of energy. She’s definitely a puppy with puppy energy. She LOVES cuddles and being loved on. She’s very friendly with other people (usually because she’s looking for loving). She barks at other dogs but is not aggressive. She is crate and house trained.
