Story
Nina is a little girl who was born around Mid-May and the family who had their dog give birth, moved away from their country rental and left 10 puppies behind with no plan for food or water…..just an outdoor pen.  After several months of a neighbor feeding them, Critter Cavalry Rescue was called in to help take them from the pen and give them a chance to find homes.  This girl survived months of abandonment and starvation and has emerged with a few social hesitancies and insecurities, yet a smart mind and loving soul.  She is crate trained, housebroken, wonderful with children that are young, other dogs and also cats.  She is a champ when it comes to being there for you but socially skittish when there are loud noises, sudden movements from outside and thunderstorms.  Nina is coming in to a place that she is showing confidence and not scared of certain things.  She will get there soon, but will need someone that doesn’t require her to be perfect.  She truly is perfect in so many ways despite her really challenging early months as a litter that was abandoned.  Nine is a lab/Pit mix that is beautiful and 44 pounds and a full weight as an adult.   She is very sweet and loving and good with children,  dogs, but NO CATS…..she loves to chase.    She is housebroken and she is crate trained and is a true outdoor girl. She loves to sunbath on the back patio and she welcomes the opportunity to meet new people.  She is pretty good on a leash and good on car rides and great recall that usually works for her.  She is a companion puppy.  She is a Lab/Pit mix and has the heart and soul of a Golden Retriever.   If you are interested in giving this homeless girl a new life and family, please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Our girl Thelma was found with her sister Louise wondering on a backcountry highway with certain death looming if they were not picked up and taken out of the roadway. They were confused and they were hungry and they were thirsty. Their life started all over again the day this kind woman put them in her truck and carry them to a critter cavalry foster mom. From there Miss Thelma has certainly been in great hands and shown the ropes and growing up as a young girl. She is living in a very busy household with lots of people coming and going and older children loving on her everyday. There are multiple dogs in the family and she gets along with the small ones as well as the larger ones. Thelma is housebroken, crate trained and does need a secured fence yard to play in. She loves a great outdoors and she would make a great running partner hiking companion and TV movie or football time snuggler on the sofa. She's a great and terrific little girl.  We think she's going to be someone superstar family pet if you just invite her home. Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Critter Cavalry Rescue has her ready to go!!!   Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
This handsome bobtailed boy is called Stevie, short for Steve Cropper.  He was found on a very hot and dry August day the first of August and honestly he was near death from lack of food and water.  The asphalt was treacherously hot and his body was not holding up in all the 100+ degree heat.   A kind soul who is in the music industry took him home but honestly could not house him for more than a few days due to heavy travel and being on the road with his music obligations.  Some people told him to do just take him to a shelter (they are full) and lie about him trying to bite a child.  That way they would take him and put him to sleep for safety of the community.  This could not have been the fartherest thing from the truth.  A wonderful foster for Critter Cavalry was contacted and she absolutely jumped at the chance to help Stevie.   No regrets for one minute that she did either.  He is a wonderful  1 year, 50 pound boy that is  Lab/Aussie/Pit mix and possesses the most caring heart and kindest spirit.  He plays with everyone at the doggie daycare and wags that nub of a tail as fast as he can wag it when greeting people.  He is a dog that didn’t deserve to be euthanized when all the options were not exhausted.  We know that this smart and playful boy will be some family’s prized possession and love.  He is housetrained it seems and he is crate trained as well.  He is respectful of other dogs and their space and not once ounce of bad traits exist in this boy.  Step right up and let’s consider Stevie for your family or just you if you are single.  Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com     PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Tony is a very lucky and special puppy, who is considered to be a lab mix and we're really not sure what the other mixtures are. Whatever they are he is beautiful. He had littermates and all were born in the woods of a very rural County in Tennessee. His mother has been feral for quite some time and had several different litters. He and his siblings roamed the woods and sometimes ended up in the road there in the country.  Sadly several were run over before three of the remaining pups were captured as puppies. Tony is one of those puppies. He has blossomed from a shutdown scared pup who could not be touched little boy, to one that will just lay his head on your shoulder and consider you to be his mama as he's rocked in love. Clark is learning leash manners and he is crate trained and is coming along beautifully on housebreaking. He weighs 21lbs at 4 months and we expect him to be a 50 lbs Lab/Border Collie  mix. He is ready to pack his bags and go to a home that will be his forever comrades and loving parents. He is shy and meeting new people but will warm quickly. Other cats and dogs in his life are just fine. He will be a friend to all. We expecting him to be 50 lb as a beautifully on handsome adult dog. if you are interested please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 7, 2024, 10:11 pm

Story
Happy Hank is an 8 month old Lab/Pit mix that is all about loving you and having spreading his sunshine personality with everyone he meets.  This older puppy came from a very rough part of rural Tennessee and the environment was really bad.  Despite all of this early exposure in his life to bad people, he still has turned out to be a really nice dog along with his brother Shadow.  They are not scarred as many can be. He is good with other dogs and we will try him with cats soon. His easy going personality makes us think that he is going to be an exceptional boy to consider adopting into any family.  We have started teaching him the leash and he is excelling at it.  He would love a home and a yard and could certainly be happy with another dog friend in the family. He will soon be an adult and we feel he will weigh 50-60 pounds.  He is neutered and complete on all shots and healthy as can be.  If you are interested in having this Happy Hank in your life please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and we will start the ball rolling. Story
Meet Peanut Butter Pup, a 5-month-old golden bundle of joy who appears to be a wonderful mixture of Lab and Pit mix.  This pup has a heart as big as his adorable golden puppy eyes! Peanut Butter’s story began when he was found abandoned and alone on a rural back road. This little guy has proven that love and resilience go paw-in-paw and we are here to change the future of this little special guy.  Peanut Butter is the epitome and truest definition of sweetness. He thrives on affection, whether it’s leaning against you for a cozy snuggle or just being your constant shadow so he can absorb the presence of his beloved human. His gentle nature makes him a perfect companion for everyone—dogs, cats, and kids alike. Though he’s still a playful puppy with all the typical antics you’d expect, Peanut Butter has a surprisingly calm demeanor for his youthful age. He’s smart and eager to learn, and his moderate energy level means he’s ready for playtime but also knows show that  he knows how to chill out and enjoy some quiet moments. If you’re looking for a loving, yet intelligent pup who’s ready to be your devoted sidekick, Peanut Butter Pup is the one. With his charming personality and loving heart, he’s ready to turn your house into a home full of joy and cuddles. We expect Peanut Butter Pup to grow up to be approximately 55-65 pounds and will perfect for that medium sized dog that can go anywhere at any time.  If you are interested in adopting or knowing more then contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com ASAP PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Hi my name is Curly and I have a great story to tell. I am a good boy that’s shy and unsure at first. People, car rides, and loud noises scare me. So I need a home that is quiet and 1-2 people at most would be best. I do great with other dogs, they bring me out of my shell. I know I’m not for everyone but I am the right one for the special person, who can work with me and go at my slow pace, who won’t get frustrated that the world is sometimes scary to me and I need time and help figuring it out. I really want to be loved and give you love, it will just take time, trust, and understanding. I am kennel trained, house trained, and like the backyard. Leash walks are not my favorite but I am working on that. Since I am scared, I like to be able to go in and out of my kennel when I am scared or just feel like it. If you want a special dog that’s not like everyone else, but will always hold a special place in your heart…. I am your boy! I have been around dogs and cats with no issues. I've also been around kids, but I prefer to keep to myself when little ones are around. I'm also crate and housetrained, neutered, heartworm negative, and have age-appropriate vaccinations!  If you're interested in adopting, please email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.comAugust 20, 2024, 12:05 am

Story
Hi, my name is Moe! If you are looking for a special dog, you are barking up the right tree! What makes me special is that life started out a little shaky for me and has left me more nervous and scared than the average dog. With time, understanding, patience, and building trust I will open up and be the best companion you could want! As the saying goes, I stick to the 3’s. I need 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks of a consistent routine and time to learn it & 3 months to start feeling at home. At first, I am more comfortable with other dogs and people really scare me, so I would do best with an outgoing friendly dog in the house to show me how to feel comfortable and confident. As time goes on, I get more used to humans but would do best in a single-person home or just a couple (too many people or a lot of children will be too much for me). I like my kennel and my safe dark space. I will come around and hang out more when I trust it is safe. I am kennel trained and working on being better with the leash. If you are looking for an amazing but special dog who needs a little bit of a calmer lifestyle, I am your man!!!! Email your phone number to rockcityrescue@gmail.com for more info! Story
Friends is back! Most of the cast anyway 😊 Rachel, Monica, Ross and Chandler are ready to love their way into your lives. These sweet babies are lab mixes who were found on the street by a local animal control, dodging out of traffic and on the verge of getting run over. The shelter was full, so they contacted us to help. We knew we could not leave the babies out there, so we got them to safety in a foster home Our friends crew consist of 2 males and 2 females that we estimate were born around June 24th and are some of the gentlest, butt wiggling puppies. They are so excited when they’re around people. They just love everybody they meet, including children. They could run around the yard and play for as long as you’d let them, as long as they’re around their people. They love to be your shadow and get lots of pets. They’ll roll on their bellies in excitement, hoping you’ll rub their bellies. As of 9/24 they weigh between 10-15 lbs. While we do not know who their parents are, we believe they’ll be around 45-50 lbs once full grown. Their paws are not very big. They are working on house training They LOVE other dogs and have met inside and outside kitties and have no issues with them. Rachel is the runt of the litter, she is a little bottle rocket, always on the go and so full of energy and zoomies. She is one of the most outgoing of the litter. She LOVES her treats and is very food motivated. She is not picky at all about what she gets, as long as it’s food and love. Once she’s done playing, she will be the first to cuddle up to you, very sweet. Rachel would be best in a more active home. Monica is the 2nd smallest of the litter, and she is much quieter and gentler than Rachel is. She likes to sit back and watch the rest of the litter cause chaos. She is curious but when she tries something out, she makes sure her siblings tried it first, so she knows it’s safe and she won’t get in trouble for it. Very smart. Would do best in a medium active to less active home as she prefers to Netflix and chill more than anything else. Chandler is the 3rd smallest of the litter and the smallest male. He is very similar in personality to Monica – he is calmer and gentler than Ross and Rachel. He has the saddest eyes when he looks up at you, almost worried he’s done something wrong. Chandler likes to explore but he is more cautious about it and lets Ross go first. Another dog in the home would benefit Chandler as he can gain confidence from another doggy. A medium to low key home would be best for this sweet boy. Ross is the largest of the litter, and he is also the only black and tan one of the litter. He is next in line for most outgoing, right behind Rachel. Ross is VERY sweet and rambunctious and loves to play. He is super-duper friendly and will give sweet kisses for days. He is the bravest of the 4 and will try anything first, he has no shame in his game. He loves to explore and go on adventures. Ross would do best in a more active home. Story
Buddy is a beautiful, 50 lb black lab mix that was abandoned in a school – you read that right, someone took him inside a school, let him off his leash and walked away, never looking back. Unfortunately, Buddy was not microchipped and the person was never found. He is estimated to be 2 years old in December of 2024 – he is neutered, current on vaccinations, heart worm negative, microchipped, current on preventions and has a proheart 6 injection (good for 6 months). A good Samaritan that took Buddy in contacted us for help as they’ve had him for 9 months but despite them thinking they were doing him good; he has been tied up to a tree during this time. You will notice in some of his video, he is tied up to a tree. Unfortunately, down here in south Texas, some people view that as an acceptable way to keep a dog. We are very grateful they reached out for help for Buddy, as to no fault of his own he was abandoned to begin with. We have done meet and greets with other doggies with him and he seems to do well with other dogs, big and small! Of course, with any new animal, proper introductions and time play a large part of multiple dogs living happily together. Buddy has met kitties, and he does fine with them, he is curious of what they are. You can see in the video where a dog-friendly kitty was introduced to him and he was more happy to be off his chain and in a home, and he did not even care about the kitty. This beautiful boy LOVES his toys and would love a big yard (and another dog would be great too!) to play with and in. He is the happiest boy, and he loves his humans. The current home has children, and he LOVES them as you can see in the video all he wants to do is play with them. He does need some training to not jump, but this is a behavior that with training, can easily be corrected and stopped. This does go with being bored though – he just wants to get attention and unfortunately, he was getting very little of it. Buddy has so much love to give and is full of potential. He is full of energy, but who wouldn’t be if they were tied to a tree 24/7? With proper training, exercise and stimulation, Buddy will be the BEST dog. He is loyal and just wants a best friend and home to call his own. Please consider giving Buddy what he has not had in a very long time – a family to call his own and a home to sleep in. You can apply to adopt Buddy at www.pawsitive-impact-animal-rescue.org Buddy is located in Texas and available for transport once adopted – transports leave to the northeast every 1-2 weeks

My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 4, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  2.5-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and, ideally, a playful companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside, and gets along well with cats. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi. As part of our mission, we travel to the Northeast weekly, bringing pets like Levi closer to their forever families. For more about our drop-off points and times, visit www.CritterCavalry.com. To adopt Levi, contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Levi is ready to bring love and joy to his new family—could it be yours? PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 7, 2024, 10:11 pm
